Research On The Division Of Labor Status Of China's Global Agricultural Value Chain

With the acceleration and deepening of the industrialization process,China has not only developed rapidly as "the world factory",but also in the direction of "world market",and the degree of China's participation in the global value chain has been continuously improved.However,from the perspective of production scale,economic efficiency and influence degree,the agricultural sector's position in the global value chain system is significantly weaker than the manufacturing and service sectors.But agriculture is not only a basic industry,from the perspective of food security,agricultural development is on an important strategic position,especially for the developing countries,it is still necessary to pay attention to the development status and trends of agriculture in the global value chain,so as to comprehensively understand and grasp the opportunities and challenges of agricultural production and trade in the context of globalization.Firstly,we would review the current literature on global agricultural value chain global value chain division of labor status measurement and promotion and so on.And then based on previous studies,we obtain our own research ideas.The second part,we will replace the traditional international trade data with the value-added trade data from OECD-Ti VA,thus redefining the international status of China's global agricultural value chain and the value composition of China's agricultural value-added trade.China's position in the global agricultural value chain is gradually increasing,and the relative share of value-added import and exports is on the rise;the non-agricultural and foreign value-added sector of China's agricultural value added export are increasing,it means that globalization has changed the distribution of elements of value distribution.The third part,according to the intermediate trade network index constructed by Ferrarini(2013)and the basic tools of complex network analysis,to clarify the relative position of China in the global agricultural productionnetwork.the agricultural value-added trade links between China and other economies is increasing,China is at the center of the East Asian production network,also the influence on the surrounding economy continues to rise.The Fourth part,Based on the theory of improving the division of labor in the global value chain,this paper constructs an international division of labor status indicator of the value chain based on value-added trade,and investigates the influencing factors of the division of labor status in China's agricultural value chain through OLS.The result shows that human capital,R &D capital and foreign direct investment have significant promotion effect on the status of value chain,the Indexes of Economic Freedom,openness degree and exchange rate level are also important influencing factors,and they may have some connection with each other.The last part,we would put forward relevant policy suggestions according to the results of theoretical research and empirical analysis,in order to realize the transformation and upgrading,sustainable development of China's agricultural value-added trade.
