As the first multinational corporation to enter the Chinese market and after decades of powerful development as well as expansion,W Company lays a solid foundation in the Chinese market compared to other multinational corporations.At present,for W(China),it needs to face not only local enterprises in China but also the multinational corporations that are constantly entering into the Chinese market.How to obtain and maintain W(China)'s competitive advantages under severe competition,how to deal with the challenges and threats brought by challenges so as to carry out the strategic adjustment of the multinational corporation and achieve sustainable development of it matter a lot for W(China).It is also the greatest challenge that W(China)faces in its development in China at this stage.The case study method has been used in the case analysis to summarize the different strategies adopted by W in the different periods of entering,reform and opening up,investment,expansion of cooperation and rapid development.These periods coincide with the important reform time points in China.Different from the traditional SWOT analysis method,by reverse SWOT and PEST analysis,we found that W learned about the external environment at first,and then developed corresponding strategies in combination with its own characteristics.This coincides with the previous different strategies at different time points.The research on W(China)found that As a century enterprise with sustainable development drive,lasting vitality and competitive strength,W's over 100 years of development is a process of innovation.Therefore,the development history of W in China is worthy of study.At the same time,facing challenges,W(China)should carry out strategic implementation and guarantee in six aspects to realize its sustainable development in China.
