The Status And Relations Research Of Urban Identity,Psychological Integration And Subjective Well-being Of Migrant Workers In Construction Sites

With the development of urbanization,more and more migrant workers are pouring into the cities.Their psychological harmonious and healthy development is an important content of building a harmonious socialist society.As the main force of urban construction and development,migrant workers have been paid less attention in construction sites.Subjective well-being is an important indicator of mental health.The status of city identity and psychological integration of migrant workers have an impact on their subjective well-being.Previous studies have shown that the three variables of urban identity,psychological integration and subjective happiness have a pairwise correlation,but lack of the research on the integration of the three relationships.Therefore,it is necessary for in-depth discussion on the relationship among city identity,psychological integration and subjective well-being of migrant workers in construction sites.This study attempts to understand the status quo of urban identity,psychological integration and subjective well-being of migrant workers in construction sites from the perspective of psychology with the questionnaire method,and makes clear the demographic variables that affect them.This study adopts "The questionnaire on urban identity of migrant workers" prepared by Yang Jian and Li Hui(2012),"The questionnaire on the psychological integration of the new generation of migrant workers" prepared by Yang Weiyu(2015),"Satisfaction with Life Scale" prepared by Diener(1985)and "Affect Scales" prepared by Bradburn(1969).This paper studies the status quo and relationship of urban identity,psychological integration and subjective well-being of migrant workers on construction site.This study consists of two parts: Study 1,the new generation of migrant workers psychological integration questionnaire for migrant workers on construction site applicability test,150 migrant workers in Yunnan Province construction site are the research object,the study concluded that the scale has a good reliability and validity,which is applicable to migrant workers on construction sites;study 2,the present situation and the relation research.324 Migrantworkers from construction sites in Yunnan Province were selected as the research objects.The methods of descriptive statistics,independent sample t test,variance analysis,correlation analysis and regression analysis,intermediary function test were used.This paper studies the status quo of urban identity,psychological integration and subjective well-being of migrant workers on construction sites and their differences in different demographic variables,and studies the relationship between them,and obtains the following results:(1)"The questionnaire on the psychological integration of the new generation of migrant workers" also applies to migrant workers in construction sites,with the high internal consistency reliability,semi-reliability and validity.(2)On the whole,the urban identity of migrant workers on construction sites is at the middle and upper level.The demographic variables such as marital status,willingness to stay in the construction industry in the future,age,education,working years,daily working hours and family members' status in the city have significant effects on one or more dimensions of urban identity.(3)The psychological integration of migrant workers in construction sites is generally at the upper middle level.One or more dimensions of psychological inclusion have significant differences in gender,willingness to remain in the construction industry in the future,place of origin,educational background,working years,daily working hours and family members in urban areas.(4)On the whole,the subjective well-being of migrant workers on construction sites is at the intermediate level,gender,marital status,future willingness to stay in the construction industry,age,monthly income,education,type of work,working years,daily working hours and family members in the city have significant effects on one or more dimensions of subjective well-being.(5)There is a significant correlation between urban identity,psychological integration and subjective well-being among migrant workers in construction sites.Urban identity and psychological integration have a significant predictive effect on subjective well-being.(6)The psychological integration of migrant workers in construction sites is a mediating variable between urban identity and subjective well-being.
