The moral collapse and financial collapse of well-known companies in business have made management practitioners review the value and significance of organizational virtuousness.Research on functional mechanism and outcomes of organizational virtuousness is becoming an important issue in the literatures of business ethics and organizational behavior.This study examined the relationship between employees' organizational virtuousness perception and pro-social rule breaking from the social information processing perspective,and explored the psychological cognitive process and the moderated role of personality characteristics on this relationship.In this study,regression analysis and structural equation model were used to verify the sample of 265 employees and following conclusions were obtained:(1)Organizational virtuousness perception of employees is positively affecting pro-social rule breaking;(2)Organizational virtuousness perception of employees is positively affecting psychological empowerment;(3)Employee's Psychological empowerment is positively affecting pro-social rule breaking;(4)Employees' psychological empowerment partly mediates the relationship between organizational virtuousness perception and pro-social rule breaking.(5)Proactive personality moderates the relationship between the employee's psychological empowerment and pro-social rule breaking;(6)Positive personality moderates the mediated effect of psychological empowerment on organizational virtuousness perception and pro-social rule breaking,which is manifested as morderated mediation effect.Thus,managers should attach importance to the cultivation of organizational virtuousness,pay attention to the psychological empowerment of employees and the guidance of employees' initiative,so as to help enterprises promote the benefit and enhance efficiency.
