With the development of urbanization in China, the former urban-rural fringe was surrounded by cities, and a large number of rural lands were collected by the state.Due to the long-term implementation of the dualistic urban-rural system of population and land in our country, these rural areas surrounded by cities have large differences in their socio-economic structures, management systems, and lifestyles, which has become a special area in the city-"village in the city",then further has created a special social group of "land-losing peasants" living in "village in the city".The detachment of land and the change of lifestyle have made these urban village land-losing peasants who with low cultural quality and lack of survival skills live on the edge of the city, and become new disadvantaged and marginalized groups in the city. The report of the 19 th National Congress pointed out that advancing the construction of new-type urbanization is the only way to realize the socialist modernization in China. How to promote the city adaptation of urban village land-losing peasants has also become an important issue to be solved in the promotion of new urbanization in China. This paper takes the theory of social identity, the core-periphery theory, and the theory of cultural adaptation as the theoretical basis, follows the logical thinking of "bring up problem-analysis problem-solve problem",uses literature analysis, questionnaires, analysis and induction methods, combing literature and network resources on land adaptation for land-losing peasants at home and abroad, based on relevant data and individual interviews obtained from a survey on the urban adaptation of land-losing peasants in the Jiefang Village of Shangqiu City, research the urban adaptation of urban village land-losing peasants.According to related theories, this article divides urban adaptation into four parts: economic adaptation, lifestyle adaptation, social interaction adaptation, and psychological adaptation, analysis the adaptation status on the four parts of land-losing peasants in the Jiefang Village shows that the main problems in the process of land-losing peasants' adaptation are: land-losing peasants' employment are marginalized,land-losing peasants are socially closed, and landless peasants have low senses of belonging to the city.Through the descriptive analysis of related documents and interviews,it was found that the main factors influencing the urban adaptation of land-losing peasants in Jiefang Village are :land-losing peasants' backward employment concept and poor competition awareness, cultural conflicts and low education, adherence to plots and inferiority complex, lagging household registration system and social security system, heavier social prejudice, lack of community services, and unregulated management system.Based on the above analysis, this paper proposes measures to improve the adaptability of land-losing peasants in urban village:build and improve the social security system, improve and abolish the people-friendly policy, actively expand non-agricultural employment channels;strengthen community environment construction, strengthen villager skills training;improve the level of cultural quality, expand social interaction, and maintain a balance between physical and psychological coordination.Unlike previous studies on the problems of urban villages, this article is about the process of urban merging of landless peasants, with the aim of improving the urban adaptability of land-losing peasants, starting from the objective reality of Jiefang Village in Shangqiu City,in response to the problems in the urban adaptation process of land-losing peasants in urban villages, propose operability countermeasures on governmental level,community-level and individual-level.
