| As an important strategy of China's economic development,cotton is an important raw material for the development of agricultural products and cotton textile industry.It plays an increasingly important role in social life.However,since 2000,the scale of cotton planting in Xinjiang has been greatly fluctuated,which not only directly affects the steady development of the cotton base and the safety of the national cotton,but also affects the financial income and the income of the farmers.Through the survey of farmers in Xinjiang,this paper finds out the factors affecting the scale of cotton farmers' operation,such as the gender,cultural degree,family total population,cotton planting years,the per capita arable land area of the labor force,the written contract of land circulation and the management system.Farmers who have more income from planting industry tend to expand their production scale.The longer the years of education,the higher the cultural level,the greater the possibility of obtaining information,the more the investment tends to maximize the profit of the production and management,the greater the possibility of expanding the planting area of cotton.Farmers' awareness of cotton target price policy is more likely to be more willing to grow cotton,and the scale will increase correspondingly.The more social relations,the farmers have more ability to borrow,and the smaller opportunity cost and transaction cost are easier to borrow from various social relations and acquaintances,without the need to pay higher interest costs through formal lending,and some even do not need to borrow.And to put forward the following suggestions: 1.increase the subsidy of cotton;2.establish the long-term mechanism of Cotton Subsidy;3.construction of land circulation platform,play cotton planting scale benefit;4 establish the cotton industry supporting facilities system;5.continue to deepen and promote the production and management of the corps and the administrative system reform. |
