Enterprise Social Media is a digital platform that leverages sophisticated social media technologies to enable employees to communicate and collaborate effectively.It can improve the self-management and work abilities of employees,and can bring benefits and value to the enterprise,so it gets rapid development.However,Enterprise Social Media is a double-edged sword.It not only has a positive impact on the enterprise and its employees,but also may has a negative impact.How to manage Enterprise Social Media is a big problem for managers.In addition,the research of Enterprise Social Media in the academic field lags behind the development of practice,and its influence mechanism on employee performance is not clear.Therefore,this paper introduces the affordance theory and researches the influence mechanism of Enterprise Social Media affordance on employee performance from a new perspective.As to the research methods,based on a large amount of literature reading and analysis,this paper proposed a theoretical model and some hypothesis,which treats Enterprise Social Media Affordance as independent variable,employees' job perpormance as dependent variable and Social Network Ties as mediation variable.Then this paper used the foreign mature scale to design the questionnaire and conducted the questionnaire pre-test and formal investigation.At last,this paper analyzes the data with SPSS and AMOS software,including reliability analysis,validity analysis,structural equation model analysis,and mediation effect analysis.The results indicate that visibility and persistence affordance have a significant positive impact on social network ties,editability affordance have a significant positive impact on expressive ties,social network ties have a significant positive impact on the employees' job performance.And,this paper finds that social network ties play a mediating role between Enterprise Social Media Affordance and the employees' job performance.The contribution of this paper lies in the introduction of interdisciplinary theories to research Enterprise Social Media and contribute to the enrichment of existing theories.And this paper used empirical research methods to break through existing research,most of which always used qualitative research.The research results are beneficial for enterprises to understand the influence mechanism of Enterprise Social Media affordance on employees' work performance and enable them to more specifically create and manage Enterprise Social Media.
