Study On The International Competitiveness Of Textile Industry In Thailand

The smooth and effective development of textile industry directly affects the status of Thailand in the world market,the smooth operation of Thailand's national economy and the effective realization of the balance of payments in Thailand.In this context,after reading the relevant literature,I understand that the textile industry in Thailand is facing multiple pressures in the world market,and it has some urgent problems after its long-term development.At present,Thailand's textile industry has a large employment population,but also has a large number of textile factories.Therefore,it has a good foundation for labor and capital supply,but the total volume in recent years shows a downward trend.The demand for Thailand's textile industry in the international market is mainly concentrated in the European Union and the US market.However,in recent years,the quantity of textile imports of ASEAN and Japan has also shown an upward trend in Thailand.The competitive strategy of Thailand's textile industry is mainly focused on the production of cheap labor force,the maintenance of existing technology and equipment,and the production of OEM.In the current economic theory literature,indicators of international competitiveness include international market share,export contribution rate,trade competition index and revealed comparative advantage index.According to the relevant data,we can judge the international competitiveness of Thailand textile industry from different points of view.However,combined with related literature,these indicators are often only related to one or a few factors,such as factors of production,market demand,business strategy and market competition.In order to better the index associated with the synthesis of a comprehensive function of various factors,and reflect the export competitiveness of Thailand textile industry index,and extract the key factors affecting the competitiveness of the textile industry in Thailand,this article will carry on the factor analysis.In Thailand,the government's economic policies on the development of the textile industry to play a strong role in regulating the background,in this paper,the Thailand government should guide the textile industry from the macro to the production of high value-added and cluster development,Thailand enterprises should implement independent innovation,from the micro strip backward production capacity,with the government guidance.
