Study On The International Competitiveness Of Hebei Textile In The Post-financial-crisis Era

Textile clothing manufacturing is the pillar industry of Hebei province, the export of which accounts for about20%of the total export in Hebei province, greatly promots the foreign trade development of Hebei, therefore, textile and apparel industry is the main driving force of economic growth, which stimulates the economic development and plays an important role in Hebei province.The international competitiveness of the textile clothing industry in Hebei province mainly comes from the comparative advantage of lower production cost, such as cheap labor cost, rich raw material and so on. However, with the development of economy, these advantages are being lost. In the post-financial-crisis era, Hebei textile clothing industry is facing many challenges, labor cost is rising sharply, the RMB devaluation continues, raw materials prices is increasing, which lead to the lost of primary comparative advantage, but a new competitive advantage has not been formed. So the major problem Hebei textile industry facing is how to overcome development bottleneck, form new competitive advantages.In this article, it tries to analyse the international competitiveness of Hebei textile and clothing industry by theory, data and measurement model. It uses the index and factors analysis make a deep study, get that Hebei textile and clothing industry has international competitive advantage, but its international market share and export growth rate is low. Then it respectively analyses the major and the other influence factors, and give some suggestions about improving the international competitiveness of Hebei textile and clothing industry.
