A Research On Performance Evaluation Of H Bank Based On The Balanced Scorecard

Commercial banks is an important institution for the balance of China's market economy.At present,the domestic studies on the bank performance have been focused on the performance evaluation of large commercial banks.However,there is less research on the small city commercial banks and a set of effective,complete and accurate performance evaluation system of these banks.Therefore,it is necessary to build a scientific and effective performance evaluation system and improve our commercial banks' performance management.On the way,we can establish the core competitiveness and maintain sustainable and stable development of China's financial industry.Firstly,this essay summarizes the domestic and foreign scholars' research results of commercial bank performance evaluation,various methods and the Balanced Scorecard.After comparison,it is decided to adopt the balanced scorecard method as the main method of this thesis.Then the advantages of using the balanced scorecard method compared with other methods and the meanings of its four dimensions are elaborated.From the strategic goal of starting the commercial banks,we can design the performance evaluation index according to the four dimensions.This thesis uses the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weights of the indexes and evaluates the performance of small and medium non-listed commercial banks combined with fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method.Then,based on the Balanced Scorecard performance evaluation system of commercial banks to design,we use case analysis to build the H Bank Balanced Scorecard model in conjunction with its own characteristics,according to data obtained from the National Bureau of Statistics and the Bank of H,etc.After the performance evaluation system is built,this thesis uses the analytic hierarchy process to determine the weights of the indexes and check the consistency according to the experts scoring and pair wise comparisons.Finally,based on the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method we establish the evaluation sets and factor sets,and we calculate the membership degree of each target by the relative distance between actual value and standard value.Using the fuzzy membership degree and weight vector arithmetic and normalized processing,we get the results of H Commercial Bank's performance evaluation.It turns out that the performances of the overall performance of the H Commercial Bank is good which mainly thanks to the financial dimension and the internal process dimension.And there are weaknesses in the customer dimension and learning and growth dimension which deserved the attention of H Commercial Bank.By the way,I give the recommendations aimed to these weaknesses.
