China's economy has been progressive development in accordance with the comparative advantage of the labor-intensive and capital intensive, and achieved rapid development. The development of comparative advantage has led to a high degree of dependence on foreign trade in china. Its negative influence is the characteristics of the easy input of international risk and the easy to enlarge, thus weakening the initiative of economic development. The aftermath of the global economic crisis in the world has led to the stagnation of China's trade growth, the weakness of domestic demand and the diminishing marginal utility of investment. So the traditional net exports, consumption and investment demand, three carriages can not form an effective stimulus to the economy, which can not drive economic growth. In the new economy, the focus of economic growth is from the traditional demand side to the supply side. But to a certain extent, the reform of supply side structure can only alleviate the economic difficulties. In the long run,the only way to promote economic growth is technological progress, and the driving force of economic growth must be in the direction of technology driven. The key stage in the Chinese economy by labor intensive and capital intensive to technology intensive transition,it is necessary to discuss the mechanism of driving factors and its effect on technological progress and economic development,And through this we can put forward effective policy recommendations. This paper uses data from 1989 to 2014.By using smooth transition model, cointegration, nonlinear test, grid search and other measurement methods, this paper discusses the impact of foreign trade,FDI,OFDI,independent innovation, human capital and other variables on China's technology growth and economic intensification. The results show that: First,OFDI has no significant effect on technological progress and economic intensification;Second, the impact of trade,FDI,independent research and development, and human capital on technological progress is significant. However, the explanatory variables that affect the level of economic intensification are FDI,independent research and development, and indirect impact of human capital, and trade does not improve the level of economic intensification;Third,FDI has a positive role in promoting technological progress. The effect of FDI on the level of economic intensification is positive in the early stage, which promoted the level of economic intensification. While the latter is negative, which restricts the improvement of the level of economic intensification;Fourth,in the long run, independent innovation is the only driving force for technological progress and economic intensification. On this basis,we suspect that there is a bonus for engineers and scholars in china except demographic dividend and capital dividend. The intermediate bridge of labor and capital intensive to technology intensive is knowledge intensive, and by making full use of knowledge intensive comparative advantage is the key to realize the leap. Finally, the paper gives some policy suggestions.
