for its efficiency.This article takes the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,one of the three major national urban agglomerations of the Yangtze River Economic Belt,as the research object,measures and analyzes the urbanization efficiency of urban agglomerations,and aims at the overall changes of urbanization efficiency and the distribution characteristics of the cities around the Yangtze River.The policy recommendations on the development status of the urbanization urban agglomeration efficiency in urban agglomerations have certain reference significance for the further promotion of the new urbanization promotion and development of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River and the improvement of urbanization efficiency in major regions of China.This article takes the urbanization of the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as the research object in the context of the profound transformation of urbanization.Based on the research literature on urbanization and urbanization efficiency,the corresponding indicators are selected according to the principle of index selection to establish an evaluation system,using three-phase DEA.Methods The urbanization efficiency of 30 urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River from 2005 to 2015 was measured,and the model solution results were statically analyzed.The evolution law and characteristics of urban agglomerations were analyzed by horizontal and vertical comparisons;the DEA-Malmquist method was applied to urban agglomerations.Finally,according to the dynamic analysis of the chemical efficiency,the corresponding countermeasures and suggestions are proposed according to the characteristics and conclusions of urbanization efficiency and urbanization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.The empirical research content of this paper mainly includes the following five aspects: The results of the study show that:(1)At present,the overall urbanization efficiency of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River still has a certain gap from the frontier of efficiency by 2015,and it still has a certain room for improvement after 2012.The overall urbanization efficiency of post-urban agglomerations is slowly declining,and there is a phenomenon that there is not enough power for efficiency improvement;(2)There is a certain gap between the urbanization efficiency of urban agglomerations in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River,and the efficiency of urbanization is geographically unbalanced.The pattern is that there are both leading and lagging regions.The concrete performance is that the urbanization efficiency of urban growth poles or cities with higher levels of economic development is higher than that of the surrounding areas.Judging from the empirical analysis results,the development of urbanization in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River There are imbalances between different cities and regions.The result of this unbalanced development has seriously hampered the cooperation mechanism between urban areas and between provinces and provinces within urban agglomerations,and has failed to effectively
