Reasearch On Saptial-temporal Coupling Between Urban Land Use Efficiency And Economic Development Level Of Urban Agglomeration In The Middle Reaches Of The Yangtze River

At present,china is in the fast developing stage of urbanization and industrialization,the blind and disordered expansion of city scale and the longtime extensive growth mode cause the low efficiency in urban land use,severe resource waste and problems of disharmony becoming more and more prominent between land use and economic development.Urban land use efficiency is closely related to economic development level,and there is the mutual influence between them,which include interacting each other,restricting each other and promoting each other.Therefore,the coupling coordination between Urban land use efficiency and economic development has important promoting effect on the sustainable development of economy,society and ecological environment.The study on the space time coupling of urban land use efficiency and economic development level of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River can not only reflect interactive relation between them,but also help in realizing the unity of land sustainable use and economic sustainable development,thus promoting healthy development of the whole urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River.This paper selects 30 prefecture-level cities of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of Yangtze River as study object,choose four time sections,namely 2002,2006,2010 and 2014,measured and evaluated the urban land use efficiency and economic development level of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River respectively by using DEA model and entropy method,and analyses for their temporal-spatial evolution characteristics and change trend.Base on that,coupling coordination degree model is introduced to make the empirical study on the coupling coordinate relationship between urban land use efficiency and economic development level,then the temporal-spatial change characteristics of their coupling and coordination are analyzed and comes to the following main conclusions:(1)Both the mean of overall urban land use efficiency and the number of urban land use DEA efficient city all show a trend of increased first and then decreased,the mean of urban land use pure technical efficiency in fluctuation and show a rising trend in general,while the mean of scale efficiency show a continuous decline trend.The number of city in scale reward decreasing are significantly more than those in scale reward increasing among the urban land use non-DEA efficient cities,and reduction in input redundancy become the main contributor that will promote urban land use efficiency of urban agglomeration.(2)The mean of urban economic development level is gradually rising and go through three stages:a slow rise-a sharp rise and a steady increase,and the standard deviation and variation coefficient of economic development level all show a trend of first increases and then decreases;the higher level of economic development of cities mainly focus on the regional central city and its surroundings or well-development industrial cities,showing the characteristics of the small gathering and some scattered distribution,and the lower level of economic development of cities are mainly located in the fringe of urban agglomeration or the contiguous region of hubei,hunan and Jiangxi provinces.(3)The coupling degree of urban land use efficiency and economic development level has the overall upward trend,the main types of coupling relationship in the cities are medium coupling type and low coupling type,and the number of low coupling type of cities decrease while higher coupling type and highest coupling type increase in time sequence,showing the degree of interaction between urban land use efficiency and economic development level of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River is higher and higher;on the space pattern,the highest coupling type of cities are scattered,medium coupling type,low coupling type,which are present the concentration to connect piece feature,and higher coupling type close to the highest coupling type,which shows stability in distribution of interannual variation.(4)The types of coordination in the 30 cities of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River include high-quality coordination,good coordination,intermediate coordination,primary coordination,barely coordination and on the verge of disorders,in which the proportion of barely coordination and on the verge of disorders of cities are larger.The degree of coordination between urban land use efficiency and economic development level is generally low,but it significantly improve and develop better over time,on the space pattern,the high level of coordination of cities are scattered,and the spatial distribution of coordination has gradually spread from the high coordination center to the periphery,and the degree of spread has more clear directionality in the geographical space.The cities with a high degree of coordination are regional central city or the higher level of economic development of the city,while the cities with a low degree of coordination are distributed in the regions with low level of economic development.
