According to the sixth census conducted in 2010,China's population aged over65 is approximately 119 million, accounting for approximately 9.80% of China's total population. The aging population has become a problem that China needs to pay special attention to.The huge health needs of the aging population put forward urgent demands for health care and medical manufacturing in the future."The contradiction between the people's growing good life needs and unbalanced development," and the masses of people have also put forward high quality requirements for the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. From a socio-economic point of view, pharmaceutical manufacturing,as one of the high-tech industries,is a pillar industry of the country. It has the characteristics of high investment and high returns. It participates in the formation of China's economic structure, while the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry meets the needs of domestic patients. It can also stimulate exports, increase employment opportunities, and promote the development of regional economies.Because the pharmaceutical research and development capabilities of domestic pharmaceutical companies are relatively weak, patented medicines, original research medicines, and high-value-added medicines are all in the hands of foreign pharmaceutical companies, and they are costly each year. The amount of purchase imported drugs. In terms of national security, the establishment and improvement of the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is aimed at ensuring the health and safety of citizens.A well-established and technologically advanced pharmaceutical manufacturing industry can ensure the country's strategic drug reserves in preparation for epidemic situations and wartime emergency. In the government work report,“Innovation drives the development of high quality development” has also given directions to the pharmaceutical industry. All levels have put forward urgent demands for the improvement of innovative R&D capabilities of high-tech industries including pharmaceutical manufacturing.Based on the related indicators of existing industrial R&D input factors, this paper has made an understanding of empirical research, and has made a qualitative and quantitative understanding of the influencing factors of pharmaceutical manufacturing,R&D investment and R&D investment.Firstly,China and Guangdong pharmaceutical industry to do a comprehensive research, including China and Guangdong Province in 6 years the pharmaceutical industry production and management situation of Guangdong Province, the pharmaceutical industry R&D investment situation, but also with the development of foreign investment pharmaceutical companies are analyzed. After reading and understanding the existing foundation,we use linear regression analysis and factor analysis to analyze the indicators related to R&D investment in Guangdong province from 2011 to 2016,and build an empirical study. Conclusion: by comparing Guangdong with other provinces and cities along the river,we can conclude that Guangdong has the highest R&D investment in the whole country, but the proportion of R&D investment in pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is relatively small. The empirical results suggest that Guangdong Province pharmaceutical industry R&D investment factors is positively related to the main business income(0.369),the amount of funding for science and technology activities in the enterprise's own funds accounted for(0.337),corporate assets(0.328),the sales revenue of new products(0.295),government funds(0.274),export delivery the value(0.197).The profit rate(-0.257)has a negative correlation with R&D investment.
