Farm Household's Social Capital And Its Impact On Poverty

Since 2012,China's targeted poverty alleviation work has achieved remarkable results,but with the deepening of poverty alleviation work,poverty alleviation and poverty alleviation work has become more difficult,poverty levels of poor groups are deep,causes of poverty are complex,and more importantly,poor groups lack the endogenous driving force mechanism to get rid of poverty and get rich.Therefore,focusing on the goal of of building a moderately prosperous society in all respects by 2020,we need to carry out research from multiple perspectives and multi-dimensions,and innovate the poverty alleviation mechanism.In recent years,the research on the relationship between social capital and regional poverty is highly concerned by the academic circle,and the research indicates that there is a close relationship between social capital shortage and persistent poverty.The reason is that social capital,as a carrier of social network,can help farmers expand opportunities,enhance their professional ability and prevent risks,thus achieving the goal of alleviating poverty.At the same time,with the help of social capital,poor peasant households can obtain spiritual encouragement and behavioral incentives to improve the efficiency of targeted poverty alleviation.Based on the theory of social capital,this paper studies the peasant households in Qinba mountains in Shaanxi province,and conducts research according to the combination of normative analysis and empirical analysis.First of all,on the basis of literature review and evaluation,draw lessons from the social capital theory and research method,revolves around the relationship between social capital and poor development,formulated in this paper,theoretical analysis,empirical analysis method,and data collection methods.Secondly,normative analysis method is adopted to analyze the relationship mechanism and influence factors between social capital and the development of poverty group,and put forward the research hypothesis.Finally,according to the attribute of social capital,could be divided into for structured Qinba mountains peasant household social capital and cognitive model,and on the basis of the reliability test,form seven to express the index of social capital,affecting the development of farmers including network scale the peak,the difference of network,network,network level,trust,sharing,participate in common;Using principal component analysis method,the social capital comprehensive index model of farmer households was measured.The regression equation model is used to test the effect of the social capital of peasant households on its income increase,and the binary Logit regression model is adopted to test whether the influence of social capital can reduce the probability of poverty.The article structure is divided into three parts.The first part includes the introduction to chapter one,introducing the social background environment of research,raising research questions and leading out article topics.The second part is the main part of the article,including the second chapter domestic and foreign literature review,the third chapter measurement and analysis of farmers' social capital in Qinba mountain area and the fourth chapter influence of farmers' social capital on poverty in Qinba mountain area.Mainly for the specific process of qualitative research and quantitative research.Explore farmers' social capital and its impact on poverty.The third part is the fifth chapter conclusion and policy recommendations,summarizing the full text and putting forward policy recommendations.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.The total level of social capital Qinba mountains in Shaanxi province farmers is low,peasant household social capital shows inverted u-shaped,namely low middle high on both ends,composite index shows that social capital is higher,and the higher the different dimensions of social capital.2.Peasant household social capital amount and its dimension and farmer income were significant positive correlation,social capital amount and its dimension increase in farmers income increase has a significant role in promoting,social capital and structural type of the income effect is greater than the cognitive social capital.However,farmers' income is not significantly correlated with social capital and its dimensions,while non-agricultural income of farmers is significantly positively correlated with social capital and its dimensions.3.The mean value of social capital and social capital of poor peasant households are smaller than that of non-poor farmers.Show that increase of farmers' social capital can significantly reduce the probability of poverty,but not every dimension index increase social capital can significantly reduce the probability of poverty,which Shared(for material and information sharing)and participation(participation in collective affairs)the relationship between the two indicators and reduce the probability of poverty was not significant.
