Since the introduction of personal insurance agent system in China's insurance industry in 1992,the insurance industry has made considerable progress.In 2017,the original insurance premium income of the industry reached 3658.101 billion yuan,an increase of 18.16% year on year.Personal insurance agent has a workforce of 8.07 million.With the high growth,the competition in the insurance industry has further intensified,and drawbacks of the personal insurance agent system have become increasingly prominent,such as unstable team of personal insurance agent,prominent moral problems,high management costs and uncertain positioning.Domestic and foreign scholars are very concerned about this issue and have proposed many solutions,but from a practical point of view,there are still difficulties.At present,with the extensive use of Internet technology,the efficiency of information transmission has been improved greatly.The progress in the mobile payment has boosted the development of Internet finance.Internet insurance has experienced explosive growth and has become a new channel for insurance marketing.It forms a competitive relationship with traditional individual insurance agents.Although Internet insurance premiums account for a small proportion of China's total premium income,its development momentum should not be underestimated.In face of new changes,how to deal with,develop and upgrade the personal insurance agent team has become an urgent problem for the insurance industry in China.This paper takes the personal insurance agent system in the Internet age as the research object,and analyzes the challenges and opportunities that current personal insurance agent team faces in China.The impact on Internet technology is divided into parts through dialectic analysis,which not only pays attention to the threat of Internet insurance to personal insurance agents,but also focuses on the positive impact of Internet technology on the personal insurance agent system.The paper analyzes the operation mechanism of the personal insurance agent system through the research on the basic law of China Life Insurance(Group)Company Jiangsu Branch,and then analyzes that the core problem of the personal insurance agent system is information asymmetry of insurance company,personal insurance agent and consumers in the insurance market through the discussion of principal-agent theory.Then,the paper indicates that Internet technology could reduce information asymmetry in the insurance market according to the characteristics of Internet technology,and provides a theoretical basis for the optimization and innovation of the personal insurance agent system.The optimization research of the personal insurance agent system provides feasible suggestions for solving the problems in the operation mechanism of thesystem.On the macro level,government regulatory department should establish a unified personal insurance agent reputation management platform,access the opinions of insurance companies and consumers,implement dynamic supervision of the businesses of personal insurance agent,and improve the honor evaluation system of personal insurance agent,thereby creating an honest and orderly market environment and avoiding the phenomenon that personal insurance agents expel bad money from bad money.At the micro level,insurance companies improve their assessment efficiency,establish an online training mechanism and implementing a full-record business model by optimizing software and hardware equipment,which reduces management costs and reduces violations by controlling the marketing process of individual insurance agents effectively.The innovative research on the personal insurance agent system is a reasonable deduction and inference of the optimization research above,with the focus on solving the contradiction between the principal-agent relationship and the employee-type management of insurance companies and individual insurance agents.One option is to implement the basic salary management of some individual insurance agents.The duties of staff in the basic salary system are offline development of customer service and Internet customers of insurance company.The insurance company tracks the business progress and determines the basic salary.Another option is to try out an independent personal insurance agent system to represent the products of a number of insurance companies,so as to get rid of the insurance company's shackles of employee-type management of personal insurance agent and so that individual insurance agents can truly protect the interests of consumers and be consumers 'insurance consultant.
