| China is a giant manufacturing country and the largest exporter with the title "World Factory".In recent years,the State has been vigorously promoting the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry.Emerging industries and high-tech industries are accelerating to become the new momentum of economic growth and the backbone of manufacturing industry.It is generally believed that the upgrading of manufacturing industries will lead to the increase of comparative advantage of related industries,consequently promoting the optimization of trade structure of related industries.Under this context,this paper intends to confirm the structural upgrading of China's manufacturing industries based on the alteration of output value and import and export commodity structure,then to analyze the impact of structural upgrading of China's manufacturing industries on China's overall commodity trade structure in order to verify the hypothesis,“positive correlation exists between upgrade of manufacturing industries and upgrade of trade structure”.Finally,this paper will take the Sino-German trade,which challenges China with the fiercest competition(especially in the high& medium-high tech industries),as an example to analyze the impact of China's manufacturing upgrading on Sino-German commodity trade structure in detail,in order to verify the universality of the a.m.hypothesis.Through research and analysis,the upgrading of China's manufacturing industries poses an overall positive effect on the structure of China's commodity trade: the structure of import and export commodities is inclined to have high-tech products in the dominant position,the trade competitiveness index(TSC)of high& medium-high tech manufacturing industries is also significantly improved,forming specific industrial and inter-industrial division system based on the "comparative advantage".This conclusion is also applicable to Sino-German trade.The study finds that the upgrading of Chinese manufacturing industry can promote the optimization of Sino-German trade structure,but it still needs a process to actualize the overall optimization and upgrading.Based on the a.m.conclusion,this paper finally points out that China should continue to promote and accelerate the upgrading of manufacturing industry through original innovation and technological evolution as an approach to “Made in China 2025”.This paper consists of 4 chapters: Chapter 1 introduces the basic concepts and measurement methods of the upgrading of manufacturing structure and trade structure.Chapter 2 demonstrates the upgrading of China's manufacturing structure and analyzes its impact on trade competitiveness.Chapter 3 analyzes the Sino-German trade structure under the context of the upgrading of manufacturing industry,and Chapter 4 points out the impact of upgrading manufacturing industries on Sino-German trade structure changes.The fifth chapter offers conclusions and policy recommendations. |
