Since the 1960s,as a product quality testing equipment,three-dimensional measuring instrument was continuously updated and developed,and has become an important part of industrial manufacturing.The measuring method of the traditional measuring instrument mainly depends on manual measurement,which severely restricts the function of the three-dimensional measuring instrument.Therefore,in order to achieve automatic measurement and reduce the manual intervention in the measurement process,it is necessary to develop an intelligent three-dimensional measuring instrument that can adapt to automatic production.This paper proposes an intelligent three-dimensional coordinate measurement scheme based on FPGA that can automatically make a measurement path according to the given workpiece drawing information.The entire three-dimensional measurement system includes PC,actuator and control system.PC design path planning documents,read the workpiece information on the drawings,design the optimal measurement path,and send it to the control system;the implementing agencies mainly include three-dimensional measuring machine mechanical structure frame,probe system,drive system and scale system;The control system includes the FPGA-based hardware and the corresponding software control part.The FPGA hardware includes the FPGA mainboard,the 10-Gigabit sub-board and the interface adapter board.The software design includes the acquisition of the probe signal,the control of the speed and direction of the motor and grating ruler data reading.At the same time,this paper uses the FPGA to achieve 10 Gigabit Ethernet.After experimental analysis,three-dimensional measuring instrument repeatability has reached 7.8um,and using 10 Gigabit Ethernet transmission coordinate information greatly improves the transfer rate and ensure the accuracy of the data.Therefore,the design of the three-dimensional measuring instrument system has high measurement accuracy,fast transmission,feasible,higher application value and economic benefit.
