In the production management of the manufacturing industry,the balance of production lines occupies an important position.Production line balancing refers to the assignment of jobs with prioritized relations to a certain number of workstations under certain constraints,and to the extent that the closeness of the operating time of each workstation is maximized.By increasing the balance rate of the production line,the productivity of the production line can be increased;the operating state of the production line can be optimized,and the risk of stopping the line can be avoided.This paper optimizes and analyzes the battery pack production line in Y company's workshop,in order to increase the balance ratio and station balance of the battery pack production line and balance the load of each workstation.This article first introduced the background of the research topic,and stated the present situation of research on balance of production lines at home and abroad and the methods used.On this basis,this paper proposes the research ideas,research purposes and research methods to be used.Second,the content of the balance of the production line and the content and steps of the genetic algorithm are described.Then,the present situation of the Y battery pack production line was studied,industrial engineering methods were used to obtain data,and the battery pack production line was initially optimized based on industrial engineering thoughts.However,because the production line has too many operating units,it is difficult to achieve the optimal state of optimization by using traditional industrial engineering methods.Therefore,an improved genetic algorithm based on Matlab was proposed to study the balance of the production line.At the same time,the feasibility of the algorithm was verified with the Jackson balance problem.In the end,simulation optimization results were implemented and comparisons of effects were made,and the balance rate of battery pack production line is increased from 63.04%to 89.45%.In summary,this paper combines industrial engineering methods and proposes to use an improved genetic algorithm to optimize and study the balance of the production line encountered in the production of Y battery packs,the optimization ideas and methods are proposed for this problem,and the optimization results are put into practice to achieve the desired goals.
