With the vehicle industry market competition becoming intenser and interser,product sales prices continue to decline,while labor cost rise,how to survive in the market becomes a problem.As a vehicle industry leader,H company is also facing tremendous pressure.In order to gain the competitive advantage in the fierce market competition,enterprises have to use less employees and produce more products.Fundamentally speaking,to improve the per capita production efficiency of enterprises is the only way to obtain the sustainable development ability of manufacturing enterprises.However,the production efficiency of H company is low,the per capita production efficiency is lower than the advanced level compared with the other industry.In addition,the company's product production cycle is longer,suffering from market criticism for a long time.These problems seriously restrict the H company's product market competitiveness,the company must solve this problem in order to win in the fierce market competition.After careful analysis,the main reason is the low production line balance rate.The production line of each load station work vary widely,even if some stations run at full capacity,they couldn't reach the average speed,which seriously restrict the overall production efficiency of the company.In order to maintain the continuity of production,each station is stored in a certain number of semi-finished products,virtually causes the long production cycle.Therefore,to solve these problems,H company must improve the production line balance rate,so to improve the level of production line balance.In the background of improving and optimizing the balance lever,we firstly use the analysis tool of industrial engineering to deal with the problem of the rail lines,then improve the activities by using the 5S management,ECRS(cancel,merge,rearrangement,simplify)principle,production line balance theory and so on.The rail line balance rate level has been greatly improved and optimized.Per capita production efficiency from the original 0.33 units per day a person is up to 0.69 now,line balance rate from 67% to 92.7%.Rail production line capacity from t 11 to 18 units / day / longitudinal online production cycle from 2 days compressed to 3 hours now,which shorten the production cycle.This paper aims at balancing and optimizing the longitudinal line and has already achieved the expected goals.It has certain promotion value to other production line balance.It also has certain reference function to the special vehicle industry.
