Ancient town of Heijing,Located in the middle of Yi Autonomous Prefecture of Chuxiong of Yunnan province,has developed into a salt town due to its natural halogen resources.From the tang dynasty to the Ming and Qing Dynasties,it has been a high-yielding place in the salt industry.Since modern times,it has been declining because of the backward traditional way of making salt.In this paper,"the spatial pattern of Heijing city in the Ming and Qing Dynasties " is selected as the research object.Based on the field investigation,under the guidance of the research method of the ancient and modern overlapping city sites,and referring to the archaeological achievements and literatures of the Ming Dynasty,the Qing Dynasty,and the Republic of China,the spatial pattern of Heijing Town in different periods is restored step by step and the basic sketch figure is drawn.And do a brief analysis of the form and evolution characteristics about Ming and Qing Dynasties of Heijing.The main content of the paper consists of an introduction and four chapters.The introduction includes the background and significance of the topic,the comprehensive introduction and elaboration of relevant research topics,and the research methods.The first chapter introduces the general situation of Heijing,involving the geographical environment,traffic situation and construction evolution of the ancient town.Chapter two investigates the historical remains in the town,combines archaeological materials with historical materials,and sorts out and records the historical evolution and preservation of the remains.The third chapter is mainly about the restoration of the spatial pattern of Heijing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties,including the traffic system of the ancient town,the construction of the town and the distribution of the salt well area,and drawing the basic sketch figure.Chapter four analyzes the formation and development of the core area of Heijing and the distribution of various functional areas in the town during the Ming and Qing Dynasties based on the restoration results.During the Ming and Qing Dynasties,Heijing town was in the flourishing period of salt industry development.Most of buildings in the town were still in use.With the salt well area as the center,Heijing forming a number of areas with complete internal functions.Dajing well was mined in the Yuan Dynasty.It is the earliest salt producing area in the ancient town and formed a core area of the town next to it.Dongjing well was mined in the Ming Dynasty and formed a new Accumulation area next to it.The status of the core area of Dajing well had not changed.In the Qing Dynasty,Xinjing well was mined near Dajing well,and Wenmiao Street was added to further expand the core area of Dajing and strengthen the status.
