In recent years,with the application of computers to various industries,the information society has come,resulting in more and more software projects,and software projects generally exist cost overruns,schedule delays of project management problems.Earned Value Analysis(EVA)can effectively strengthen project schedule and cost management by introducing Earned Value into the integrated management of schedule and cost.But it is directly applied to the following problems in the construction project of cloud computing platform for information system of S insurance company:1)the critical path problem,the traditional earned value analysis method cannot distinguish the critical path;2)there is no more scientific method of software workload assessment.In this paper,the earned value method of management software project problems in-depth analysis put forward the improvement methods as follows:1)Improving the earned value method by introducing the critical path and KPI index of the dashboard has the advantage of eliminating the problem that the traditional earned value method cannot distinguish the critical path,and reducing the complexity of the index system of the Earned Value Analysis of the critical path after introducing too many metrics;2)The introduction of milestone and three-point estimation method for workload assessment of software projects has the advantage of workload assessment of software projects,because its theory originates from statistics,and is more scientific and applicable than other workload assessment methods such as things or single point.In short,through reading a large number of relevant engineering project management theory and engineering practice literature,this paper proposes the introduction of critical path and KPI index of the dashboard to improve the earned value method management,and the introduction of milestone and three-point estimation of workload assessment,improve the earned value method analysis.Finally,a case study proves that the improved method is practical.
