The development of electric power industry occupies an extremely important proportion and effect in the development of national economy,which has important economic value and strategic significance to the national economic construction and industrial development.In recent years,the domestic economic has developed by leaps and bounds,while electric power development in each region has also ushered in the new opportunities and new challenges.The determination of voltage sequence of power transmission and distribution in a region could affect the development planning of power grid,the formulation of technical standards,the research and development of equipment types,and the construction and maintenance methods.The supply capacity of power grid needs to be improved urgently.Therefore,from the perspective of power grid planning,this topic introduces the faced issues on the application of 220/35/10 KV power grid in Qingdao area in the present stage,and discusses the solution of power protection in Qingdao under the severe test conditions.With the continuous growth of load,the 220/35/10 kv power supply sequence in Qingdao area could no longer meet the requirements of the current economic development.Load density of Qingdao has grown to an all-time high,such as sustained growth in the number of substations and lines,uses of a lot of public land resources,severe limitation of urban distribution network's development.In order to solve the above contradictions,this paper proposes the application of 20 kV in distribution network which effectively reducte the power loss,the amount of substation and line corridors.Besides,it also improves the power quality and has significant advantages on improving the power supply ability.Meanwhile,the application of 20 kV in Qingdao area is analyzed in terms of economy and feasibility.At present,20 kV has been studied and applied for many years in China and even around the world.These data also provide relevant materials for the development of Qingdao power grid.The successful cases of Suzhou power supply company's 20 kV industrial park and Dalian changxing island 20 kV distribution network also provide a reference theory for the application feasibility of 20 kV distribution network in Qingdao.This paper introduces the transformation scheme of distribution network in Qingdao area as an example,and completes the transformation scheme from 35 kV and 10 kV equipment to 20 kV.According to the practical case of using 20 kV voltage grade in Qingdao,the feasibility and economy of using 20 k V in Qingdao area are proved,and the operation experience of 20 kV distribution network is summarized.
