The Application Of "flexible Boundary" In The Planning And Design Of Historical And Cultural Blocks In Beijing's Old City

With the evolution of modern civilization,the relationship among traditional culture,human and historical and cultural blocks is increasingly separated.In the process of development,urban historical and cultural blocks should not only bear the original cultural context,but also bear new functions.As an important role of creating the space atmosphere of historical and cultural blocks-boundary,it is the link between urban historical and cultural blocks and other surrounding areas.Its value cannot be ignored.In this context,this paper puts forward the research on the application of "flexible boundary" in the planning and design of historical and cultural blocks in old Beijing.The research content of this paper mainly includes the following aspects: First,the research background,purpose and significance,purpose and content are introduced,and then the research status of relevant fields at home and abroad is summarized,and the research characteristics and research methods are proposed.This article,and sort out the framework of this article.Secondly,the related concepts,elements and classifications of the flexible boundary of historical and cultural blocks are expounded,and the characteristics of the flexible boundary are summarized.Then it introduces the design principle and function of flexible boundary,which provides the basis for the next research.Then,the typical historical and cultural blocks in the old urban area of Beijing are investigated on the spot,and the existing problems and the impact on user behavior are analyzed from different boundary types.Finally,on the basis of the above theoretical research and analysis,according to the problems existing in the boundaries of these historical and cultural blocks,a corresponding flexible boundary design strategy is proposed.The boundary of this paper refers to the intersection area between the historical and cultural block of Beijing old city and other adjacent land of the city,including the boundary of open streets,the boundary of buildings,the boundary of public space and the boundary of landscape greening.The boundary of historical and cultural blocks must exist as a symbiotic and mutually continuous system,rather than isolating the adjacent areas.The flexible boundary can form a fuzzy interface,which can not only divide the space,but also ensure the display and penetration of historical and cultural blocks.It is an open and people-oriented boundary,which makes the historical and cultural block of the old city have a positive effect.In the environment of rapid economic development,the boundaries of many historical and cultural blocks in the old city should abandon the old rigid mode and deal with it in a "flexible" way to form a transition with a sense of hierarchy and humanistic care,so as to meet the new social needs and expectations.In this paper,the concept of flexible boundary is applied to Beijing old city historical and cultural block,hoping to create a more flexible urban space environment through the design method of flexible boundary,so that Beijing old city historical and cultural block boundary plays a greater role.
