Urban Waterfront Landscape Design From The Perspective Of Sponge City

As good as water,the early generation and development of human civilization are related to the river basin," water can carry boats,but also can overturn boats," the history of the flood and beast endangering human life lesson,warning us : " not mountains and rivers from the city,but the city from the mountains and rivers." This truth is confirmed by ancient urban water system planning.For modern cities,the city takes water as the soul,and the coexistence and co-existence of the city because of water has not weakened.However,due to the rapid development of urbanization and industrialization,the natural environment of urban waterlogging and waterfront space is occupied and the ecology is destroyed.With the increasing problem of water ecological security in China,urban waterfront area has become the key area of urban construction again.The concept of sponge city provides a new way for the design of urban waterfront landscape,which requires its landscape ecosystem to be as elastic as sponge to maximize the control of rainfall flowing into rivers and lakes,and to realize the recycling of water resources in waterfront areas.It is of great significance to combine the concept of sponge city with the design of urban waterfront landscape,to apply the technology of urban rain flood management facilities to the construction of urban waterfront,and to form a diversified urban waterfront space which integrates rain flood storage and utilization,landscape and leisure.The spongy waterfront landscape has the functions of water absorption,seepage,water storage,water purification and drainage,but also a unique and beautiful landscape of the city.It combines the viewing,leisure,entertainment and ecological functions of the landscape with the ecological infrastructure functions of the sponge city,which will greatly increase the social,economic and ecological value of the urban land and improve its utilization efficiency.Taking the urban waterfront landscape design under the background of sponge city as the research object,taking landscape design,landscape ecology,hydrology,urban planning and other related disciplines as the theoretical basis,combined with the current domestic and foreign related theoretical research and cases,rain flood management related technical measures and design practice,this paper analyzes the domestic and foreign sponge city and waterfront landscape design related theory and practice,discusses the contemporary domestic urban waterfront landscape design countermeasures,in order to get a clear urban waterfront landscape design system under the background of sponge city,Finally,through the empirical study of landscape design of the Nanjing Qinhuai River(Zhonghe Bridge to Shangfangmen Bridge section),further exploring the urban waterfront landscape design method is helpful to solve the urban rain and flood contradiction and promote the sustainable development of the city.
