Objective:Based on the theoretical basis of TCM syndrome differentiation,this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Chinese medicine in the treatment of LPRD by observing the clinical efficacy of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of Laryngopharyngeal reflux disease(liver-stomach discomfort)with Soothe liver and Harmonize stomach method,in order to provide reference for clinical medication.Methods:This study was conducted in a randomized,placebo-controlled clinical trial.Fifty patients with LPRD(liver-stomach discomfort)who met the inclusion criteria were enrolled in the test group and the control group according to the random number table,each group of 25 cases.After treatment in the same way,the cases in the experimental group were treated with Soothe liver and Harmonize stomach Chinese herbal compound decoction.The control group was given placebo.The course of treatment is 3 weeks.Subjects were fill VAS and RSI after treatment for 1 week,2 weeks after treatment,and after treatment.The investigators completed RFS by laryngoscopy before and after treatment.The changes of symptoms and signs were observed before and after treatment in both groups.The data obtained by the statistical processing.Finally,analyze the test results and discuss them.Result:1?After 1 week of treatment,the curative effect of the experimental group and the control group were 4.35% and 0.00%.There was no significant difference in efficacy and symptoms between the two groups(P> 0.05).2?After 2 weeks of treatment,the curative effect of the experimental group and the control group were 34.78% and 5.00%.There was a significant difference between the two groups in the efficacy?continued clear throat?too much sputum or nasal reflux(P <0.05).3?After treatment,the curative effect of the experimental group and the control group were 78.26% and 30.00%.There was a significant difference between the two groups in the curative effect?continued clear throat?too much sputum or nasal discharge,?throat foreign body sensation?heartburn pain(P <0.05).At the end of the treatment,there was a difference in the posterior union hyperplasia(P <0.05).Conclusion:Based on the theory of TCM syndrome differentiation Soothe liver and Harmonize stomach method for the treatment of LPRD(liver-stomach discomfort),the effect is exact.Can ease the throat foreign body sensation,clear throat,sputum or nasal flow back,heartburn stomach pain these main clinical symptoms of LPRD.But the signs have not been found in the obvious improvement.No adverse reactions occurred after treatment.This treatment can be used in clinical practice,there is further in-depth study of the value.
