Expression Of Emotion, Identity And Ideas

"Hand" has irreplaceable function and significance in painting,and it has very strong indication and art metaphor function,with pretty important research value in art creation.As an important visual theme and expression theme in the Western Art History,the ingenious expression of "hand" can make the emotion that painters endow the pictures better expressed,reflect the identity and features of the figures accurately,and fully express the main idea and show the time spirit.Therefore,this paper strives to research the various of visual expression forms of "hand" in western art,and explore the art metaphor function of"hand" in painting.This paper is divided into three chapters.The first chapter is about the "hand" of emotion.It analyzes from the Representatives work"praying hand" of Durer,to analyze and summarize the emotion expression and different expressions of the praying hand in religious painting and portraitures;through analyzing the artworks that take "hand"as the subject,it explores various of languages expressing "hand" The second chapter is about the "hand" of identity.It leads to the visual expression and art metaphor of "hand" in figure painting from the creation that takes "hand" as the subject.Taking amounts of legends as the argument,this chapter classifies and interprets the "hand" in static state and dynamic state and the accessories in "hand",to strive to find the inner world that painters hide in "hand" at the same time of exploring figure identity.The third chapter is about the "hand" of idea.Similarly,taking amounts of works as the clues,it analyzes the idea expression and the expansion and deduction of artists to "hand" from contemporary artworks,and discusses the enlightening significance of the expression of"hand" to contemporary painting.This paper aims to find the invisible thread of development of art history and different perspective of innovation through the exploration to the visual metaphor of "hand" and its expression way.It is deeply significant to our current art creation.
