On The Use Of Ink In Freehand Figure Painting

Since the Chinese painting came into being,Chinese ink has been its elementary media factor.Chinese figure painting of freehand brushwork is also known as wash figure painting.Literally,ink plays a vital role in freehand figure painting.This essay is focused on the application among ink,color,line and water in some freehand figure paintings.On the basis of analysis of some Chinese figure paintings in history,this essay illustrates the role played by the ink in the paintings.To make thorough and rational research on practice and form of freehand figure painting,I will analyze some existing theories,opinions and painting technics at first.Then,I will apply the theory to my practice and look for the ways of painting that fit for me to keep making breakthroughs and innovations.
