In recent years,with the improvement of China's international influence,more and more American people begin to know China and contact with Chinese culture.Confucius Institutes are booming in the US,and Chinese classroom is attracting more and more attention in the United States,and a large number of Chinese learners and enthusiasts have sprung up.But a lot of the Chinese culture that many American people know is scattered,irregular,even non-representative,narrow,and some are not a cultural symbol that truly interprets Chinese culture.These symbols can not only represent the whole cultural image of China,but also lead to cultural misunderstanding.Therefore,this study hopes to help the people of Troy City understand Chinese culture better by investigating the identity of Chinese cultural symbols in Troy,USA,and make cultural classes more interesting and effective.This paper is based on data analysis and investigation.It mainly adopts the methods of literature analysis and questionnaire survey.The Chinese cultural symbols are divided into three categories according to the basic,detailed and deep types,and 20 representative symbols are selected in combination with the related research of domestic scholars,the cultural content of the teaching materials of Chinese as a foreign language and the observation of the life experience of Troy.According to the investigation and analysis of the two subjects of Chinese learners and non Chinese learners,the cultural symbols with high identity in this study are:the Great Wall,dragon,panda,five star red flag,Putonghua,Terracotta Army,and the cultural symbols of low identification are:Peking Opera,dumpling,Chinese knot,Chinese tea,Mid Autumn Festival.Through the ternary analysis of hear-like-like to learn and the analysis of specific symbols,suggestions on cultural teaching are put forward,hoping to provide reference for the teaching of cultural courses in the future.This article is divided into five parts,including introduction,three chapters,and epilogue.The main contents of each part are as follows:The introduction mainly expounds the origin and significance of the topic,the research status of Chinese cultural symbols and the dissemination of Chinese cultural symbols,the selection and introduction of the object of investigation,and the research methods of this article.In the first chapter,the concept and classification of cultural symbols and Chinese cultural symbols are mainly expounded,and the selection principles of Chinese cultural symbols and the extraction of Chinese cultural symbols in this study are introduced.The second chapter,based on the survey method,designed the questionnaire based on the familiarity degree-the willingness to study,aimed at the two different subjects of the Chinese learners and non Chinese learners in Troy City,and made the three yuan analysis based on the familiarity-the degree of familiarity-the willingness to learn,based on the recognition of the cognitive ladder.Analysis?The third chapter,using the comparative analysis method,collate the questionnaire data,in view of the difference and analysis of the differences between Chinese learners and non Chinese learners in the identification of Chinese cultural symbols in Troy City,the analysis of the influencing factors of the differences,and the suggestions of cultural communication and culture teaching.In the conclusion part,the main points and shortcomings of the study are summarized.
