Eileen Chang is a famous writer in the literary world.She wrote novels,plays and essays,and translated and textual research in the United States,leaving a rich literary legacy for posterity.The writer's creation is closely related to the journey of the heart.Based on the novels written by Eileen Chang in the United States,this paper explores her overseas creative psychology under the background of cultural differences between China and the west,which is divided into four chapters.In the first chapter,the author elaborates on the creation of self-consciousness under the conflict of old and new literature.First of all,Eileen Chang's overseas creative process is analyzed,so as to give a clear and intuitive understanding of her overseas literary creation.Eileen Chang,who goes to the United States,is in the midst of the cultural shock of Chinese and western culture.Due to the time and family,she has been exposed to the Chinese and western thought culture since her childhood.During the period of tourism,the cultural differences aggravate the contradiction,which caused Eileen Chang to be frustrated in her creation.A strong sense of self-consciousness emerges,and she begins to return to herself,writing autobiographical works,living in a personalized,one-language world,and finding herself in the rewriting.The second chapter combines the text,historical materials and the psychoanalytic method to explore the creative psychology of Eileen Chang's cross-cultural background,which is contradictory and self-contradictory,and is both desperate and lonely.Eileen Chang has changed her creative mind during the last forty years of her travel.At first,due to cultural differences,the psychological contradictions of dual cultural identity emerged,and the identity of self-identity was completed through integration.She re-examined herself,rubbed her personal experience into literary creation,and self-medicated in repeated narratives.However,nothing could be returned,and the sense of hopelessness and loneliness enveloped her later life experience.The third chapter is to deepen the role,by comparing Eileen Chang,Yan geling,and Hong Ying overseas,so as to further understand Eileen Chang's self-consciousness in creation.They share a similar life experience,the same tragic outlook on life,and the self-expression of humanity in the works.From the domestic to overseas,the cultural shock,so that they constantly find themselves.However,due to differences in personality and women's perspective,their self-writing is different.Yan geling and Hong Ying present an open self-world to readers,while Eileen Chang is self-enclosed.The fourth chapter evaluates Eileen Chang's overseas literary works according to the late style of Saeed's sense.First,she focuses on the memory writing,which brings the traumatic memory into the literary narrative,and the pessimism is obvious.Secondly,Eileen Chang is obsessed with traditional Chinese literature.In the change of The Times environment,she absorbs the modernism consciousness and continues the tradition.Third,there is still a sense of coldness in her overseas writing,keeping a "Zhang's tune".
