After the Journey to the West is a novel written in the late Ming and early Qing dynasty,the original book is no author,the book titled poetry talent,the main story continues Journey to the West,and it has the most literary values in the three continued books.After the Journey to the West is a novel with a strong oral color,and its language is typical of ancient vernacular.In many of the grammatical phenomena in the Journey to the West,the passive sentence is very distinctive and is in the process of the development and change of passive sentences in modern Chinese.It is a very valuable corpus of the passive representation at that time.To show the appearance of passive sentences during this period,we can also sort out and review the development and evolution of passive sentences.We use the After the Journey to the West as a corpus to conduct a comprehensive investigation of passive sentences in this book,the main content as follow:Firstly,we defined and classified the passive sentences in the After the Journey to the West.There are 363 passive sentences in the book.We classify them into three forms and ten categories.They are the passive sentences of classical Chinese,including the “Yu”,“Wei” and “Jian” characters.This type of form is very rare in the book,and it belongs to the ancient Chinese passive sentence pattern at that time.The “Bei” style,this type of passive sentence appears most frequently in the After the Journey to the West,and it can be seen that the “Bei” pattern has a natural advantage in expressing passiveness and has been used in modern Chinese;Other forms,that is the new forms of passive sentences in modern Chinese,include the word “Meng”,the word “Chi”,the word “Zao”,the word “Zhao”,the word “Rang”,and the word “Yu”.Secondly,we have studied the passive sentences of classical Chinese in the After the Journey to the West and divided them into three sections: “Yu”,“Wei” and “Jian”.We combed their development contexts respectively.Their defects or advantages,including the analysis of its composition form,the word part of the landmark words and the specific role,and they were statically described.Thirdly,it is the main part of this article that the most frequent “Bei” in the After the journey to the west is described in detail.We divide the “Bei” into “N sentence” and “zero sentence” in After the journey to the west,combing the development history of it and compare it with the passive "Bei" in ancient Chinese.Try to outline the development of Chinese characters in this period.Fourth,we do static description of emerging ancient spoken vernacular passive sentence in the After the Journey to the West.According to their source,it is divided into three parts,which are the "Chi","Meng","Zao" characters derived from the semantics of "victim".The "Rang" and "Zhao" characters derived from the use of causative verbs,and the "Yu" characters from the "given" verbs.By studying the new passive sentences,trying to find out the grammaticalization process of different passive signal words and the law of passive signal words,it provides some ideas for us to study the emerging passive conditions.Fifth,combining the "three-plane" grammar theory of modern Chinese,this paper briefly analyzes the semantic color and pragmatic value of some of the main passive sentences in "A Post-Journey to the West",and seeks to more fully and stereoscopically demonstrate the passive appearance of Chinese.Sixth,summarizing the characteristics of the use of passive sentences in the After the Journey to the West,such as "Yu" and other passive forms have almost disappeared.The "Bei" style has been inherited and flourished,and many complex forms have emerged.Some emerging vernacular passive sentences are also be used.
