| In our daily communication activities,we often use functionally rich discourse markers.Such special language components not only make our communication more cohesive,but also allow us to observe from such marks the sentimental sentiments of the senders.This article is guided by theory of Coherence,Adaptation,and Cooperation.Select the "World Youth" program as the source of corpus.The corpus was used to create a small corpus and a comprehensive analysis was made of the use of discourse markers"jiushi" by senior international students.First,the paper analyzes the discourse marker "is" usage patterns."jiushi" is at the beginning of the turn with three modes:designated response,intervening response,and no specified response;Located in the middle of the turn,it has four modes of taking up the turn,supplementing information,adjusting information and correcting the discourse.It also compares the difference between Chinese and foreign learners’ use patterns.Secondly,the paper describes the students discourse markers "jiushi " discourse organizational functions.And conducted a comparison of Chinese and foreign students.When "jiushi" is at the beginning of the turn,it has the function of setting up topics and connecting topics;When "jiushi" is in the turn,it has the function of continuing the topic and expressing the topic.The speaker uses the discourse marker "jiushi" to achieve the control of the coherence of the discourse by the communicative subject.The Chinese and foreign comparisons found that the textual organization function of the discourse marker"jiushi" has great consistency in oral English among Chinese and foreign students.Finally,the paper describes the students discourse marker "jiushi" context conform to function and interpersonal function.And conducted a comparison between China and foreign countries.According to the changing context of communication,foreign students often use the discourse marker "jiushi" to make adjustments.Further considerations based on the principle of courtesy,to maintain harmonious interpersonal relationships,students also used "jiushi" I come from regulation,in order to achieve good interpersonal interaction effect.Context Adaptation function and interpersonal function Chinese and foreign students discourse marker "jiushi" also has great consistency.But in this article foreign students" jiushi" interpersonal function better when compared with China highlights the learners. |
