Errors refer to the regular errors of the learners in the second language learning process, which reflect the language ability and level of the learners.Text writing is an important part of second language learning, and it is an important index to test the degree of the learners' mastery of the language.Textual cohesion is an important topic in discourse, and the study of cohesion errors of foreign students is of great significance in the study of second language acquisition. The study of second language acquisition is mainly focused on pronunciation, vocabulary and grammar,Chinese characters etc, while the study of textual cohesion is not enough. This paper is based on the cohesion error analysis of compositions from HSK dynamic composition corpus, which consists of compositions written by students who are native speakers of English. After careful analysis,we find that textual cohesion errors in students' writing are varied, and these errors can be divided into two categories according to the cohesion theory of errors:grammatical cohesion error and lexical cohesion bias errors.Grammatical cohesion errors can be subdivided into cohesion errors, omission of cohesion errors, alternative cohesion errors, link errors.Lexical cohesion errors are subdivided into lexical repetition errors, synonyms cohesion errors, use of upper and lower meaning words, and the use of antonyms. This paper provides a brief explanation of cohesive devices before the specific and detailed analysis of cohesion error types by use of concrete examples.Based on the above analysis, this paper summarizes diverse errors causes, among which negative transfer of native language and lack of systemic explanation about textual cohesion in syllabus and textbooks are the main ones.At the end, this paper puts forward some effective suggestions on syllabus, textbook and teaching.
