Embarrassment is a kind of negative experience produced by individuals when they feel the inconsistency between their appearance,behavior and the scene(setting)in the process of social interaction.In recent years,more and more studies have found that embarrassment is a kind of moral emotion with affinity,which can promote individuals to make prosocial behavior.Cooperation is an important social skill in daily life and learning.It is an important personal quality advocated by today's society,which helps to build a good social circle and better adapt to the complex environment.In order to explore the development characteristics and influencing factors of junior high school students' embarrassment,as well as the influence of embarrassment on cooperation,this paper conducts research from the following two aspects.In the first study,804 junior high school students in Shanghai and suzhou were selected as the research subjects,and awkward story situation questionnaire,awkward susceptibility scale,cooperative tendency questionnaire and status self-esteem questionnaire were selected to explore the characteristics,changing trends and the role of self-esteem in the development of junior high school students' awkward emotions.The results showed that :(1)there was a significant gender difference in junior high school students' awkward mood and awkward susceptibility,and girls' experience of awkward mood and awkward susceptibility were significantly higher than boys'.(2)there were grade differences in junior high school students' embarrassment emotions,and the scores of junior high school students in grade one and grade two were significantly higher than those in the preliminary grades.(3)there was a significant positive correlation between junior high school students' embarrassment emotion and embarrassment susceptibility and their cooperation tendency.(4)Junior middle school students' embarrassment can positively predict the cooperative tendency,and selfesteem plays a partial mediating role.In the second study,119 junior high school students from a middle school in Shanghai were selected,and emotional priming questionnaire,state self-esteem questionnaire and public goods dilemma experiment paradigm were used to explore the influence of junior high school students' embarrassment on cooperative behavior and the role of self-esteem in it.The results showed that :(1)recall task can effectively evoke embarrassing emotions.(2)embarrassment of junior high school students can positively predict cooperative behavior.
