An Experimental Study Of Double-character Tone Sandhi In The Dialect Of Zhuanghe Urban Area

The Zhuanghe dialect,which is a typical 3-tone dialect,belongs to the Yanwei small slice of JiaoLiao Mandarin dialect-Denglian slice.In the Project of "Chinese dialect investigation in Liaoning Province,China language Resource Conservation Project" conducted by my tutor,I founded that the characteristics of double tone change in Zhuanghe urban dialect are distinct and worthy of further study.Therefore,on the basis of retaining two speakers of the language protection project,I select six speakers from Zhuanghe city and use the method of experimental phonetics to summarize the single tone pattern and double tone pattern of Zhuanghe urban dialect.Based on the single tone pattern,I will further explore the tone mode of the double tone,use the theory of bend abrading to analyze the changing tone theory and sum up the characteristics of the double tone,hoping that experiment can not only provide a reference for writing Zhuanghe dialect records,but give precise data reference for experimental studying on the tone of JiaoLiao Mandarin in Liaodong Peninsula as well.Apart from the introduction and the conclusion,there is a combination of four chapters,of which chapter 4 is the focus of the full paper.Chapter 1.Introduce the investigation process and experimental methods of the Zhuanghe urban dialect.After introducing the design of recording tables,the selection of the speakers,and the field investigation process in turn,this chapter explains the operation method and research process of this experiment in detail.After the audio is segmented and labeled by Praat,a speech analysis software,I use a script program to extract the corresponding fundamental frequency parameters,then normalize the fundamental frequency data by using the function in Excel with the help of the T value method.Chapter 2.Comb the results of field survey and summarize the phonological system of Zhuanghe urban dialect.There are 19 initial consonants(including the zero initial),36 finals and 3 tones in Zhuanghe dialect.Chapter 3.Study the single tone of Zhuanghe urban dialect from the perspective of speech experiment.In order to get the fifth degree value of the Zhuanghe urban dialect,I normalize the acoustic data extracted from single-character fundamental frequency.Zhuanghe urban dialect is a typical 3-tone dialect of JiaoLiao Mandarin.The tone of Zhuanghe urban dialect is ping tone 51,shang tone 213,qu tone 441/342.Inside of the Zhuanghe urban dialect,the ping tone is not divided into two parts according to voiced initials or voiceless initials in the current single tone system.There are two tone shape in the qu tone,flating-falling shape 441 and rising-falling shape 342.Chapter 4.Study the double tone of Zhuanghe urban dialect from the perspective of speech experiment.First of all,extract the fundamental frequency data on the Zhuanghe urban dialect through the praat script program,summarize the double tone mode of 8 speakers and compare thier similarities and differences,then include the change of continuous reading mode of double tone in Zhuanghe urban dialect.Secondly,experiment shows that Zhuanghe urban dialect is the same as most northern dialects,which belongs to the type of "the changed tone form of the former word,the original tone form of the latter word".By comparison with the single tone mode of the Zhuanghe urban dialect,we find that the ping tone is not divided into two parts according to voiced initials or voiceless initials in the current single tone system.But in the current double tone system,the ping tone can be divided into two parts according to voiced initials and voiceless initials,which is the performance of "the recovery of the tone type".Finally,the author uses the theory of bend abrading to further analyze the theory and characteristics of changing double tone in Zhuanghe urban dialect.
