Research On The Textbook Of "Modern Chinese Advanced Course"

The Advanced Course on Modern Chinese is a set of compulsory textbooks for the third and fourth grade comprehensive courses for Chinese as a foreign language undergraduate course prepared by the Advanced Chinese Teaching and Research Section of the Chinese Language Institute of Beijing Language and Culture University.Students in the third year of the undergraduate course can use the first and middle volumes of the textbook.Students in the fourth year of the undergraduate course can use the second volume of the textbook.Learners with the same level of Chinese can also use this set of textbooks.This set of textbooks has a relatively large influence and a wide range of uses.There is no comprehensive examination of this textbook.This article examines the content of the vocabulary and grade of the textbook,the number and grade of grammar points,the subject matter and genre of the text,and the types of questions and questions in the after-school exercises.After statistical analysis,the strengths and weaknesses of this set of textbooks are summarized.Through in-depth analysis of the textbooks,the author finds that the vocabulary and grammar points of this set of textbooks are difficult,and the super-level vocabulary and grammar points are more.Chinese learners who are suitable for advanced level should be appropriately adjusted according to the syllabus;the subject matter and genre of the text are not broad enough,and the quantity distribution is not balanced.The scope of the topic selection should be appropriately expanded to adjust the subject matter and genre of the text;The exercises are not rich enough,and the gap between the three textbooks is too large.The author thinks that some skill-type questions can be appropriately added and the amount of questions in the three textbooks can be balanced.
