Applied Research Of Primary School English Drama Teaching Method

Drama teaching method is a method of using drama or theater techniques to engage in classroom teaching in schools.From the point of view of subject,the drama teaching method in English teaching is a method and activity to carry out English language teaching in the form of drama.Primary English drama teaching method is to infiltrate drama means and elements into primary English subjects,organize students to use English to communicate with people in the process of participating in drama activities,and actively participate in the creation and use of language,during this process,students are given the opportunity to express themselves in language,body,and psychology.In the teaching method of English drama in primary school,English language teaching should be conducted in a drama form that is suitable for children's physical and mental characteristics.This method does not aim at learning drama itself,but uses drama as a means and carrier to organize students to conduct language training and pragmatic expression in the process of participating in drama activities,thereby stimulating interest in learning English and exposure to foreign cultures.To promote students to learn spontaneously,improve the efficiency of English learning and personal comprehensive literacy.At present,the applied research of English drama teaching method in primary school is still lacking and not systematic enough.This paper combs the relevant literature from the perspective of education,and the development and research of drama teaching method from two aspects at home and abroad,especially focusing on the application of drama teaching method in language learning.This paper explains the feasibility,uniqueness and advantages of drama teaching method in elementary school English teaching.Drama teaching method has the characteristics of situation,performance,interaction and integration in language learning.These characteristics form its unique function in language learning.Based on the teaching reality,this article lists the commonly used drama teaching methods in primary English: character reading,drama games,impromptu performances,and role playing.On the basis of analyzing the concept of commonly used drama teaching methods,the author has conducted research on the content selection and adaptation of primary school English drama teaching methods,and has conducted in-depth research on the core issues such as the source of materials,the principle of material selection,and the principle of adaptation of drama teaching methods.Based on the principles of material selection and material adaptation based on content,form and practicality,the author summarizes and refines the material selection and adaptation flow chart of the drama teaching method.The author makes a detailed explanation in combination with the case.In addition,according to the study on the implementation steps and evaluation of the commonly used drama teaching method in elementary school English,this paper discusses the implementation steps and evaluation dimensions,indicators,and requirements of the commonly used drama teaching method in elementary school English,and makes an explanation based on the case.Finally,the author explores,summarizes and refines the advantages of the English drama teaching method in primary school,puts forward the problems and shortcomings in the implementation of the English drama teaching method in primary school,and expounds relevant suggestions and reflections.As a non-traditional teaching mode,drama teaching method has no alternative to its unique function in English learning.Therefore,it is of great practical value to introduce drama teaching method into the classroom scientifically and systematically.The purpose of this study is to explore new methods and approaches in English teaching in primary schools and to clarify the steps,points of note and problems in the implementation of the drama teaching method in English teaching in primary schools.It provides some reference and reference for the application of drama teaching method in primary English classroom.
