Since the beginning of the 21 st century,with the increasing living standards of the people,the public has increasingly focused on the issues of people's livelihood,such as the social security and medical health.The relationship between doctors and patients has become a hot topic in the discussion.As an effective medium for communication between the medical workers and patients and the community,the medical documentary has developed gradually in the current variety of documentary types.In recent years,there have been made a breakthoughs in quantity and quality.We have presented a series of excellent documentary films since 2010,which can truly reflect the medical and health environment and show the complex relationship between doctors and patients.At the same time,the excellent documentary films can alleviate the contradiction between doctors and patients,grasp the social wind direction correctly and build a bridge of hope in high-quality and healthy medical system.This article is an exploration and research on the humanistic value and artistic expression of medical documentaries.Firstly,collect and organize the documentary films on Chinese and foreign medical subjects in recent years and summarize the current development and research status of documentaries on this subject.On the basis of this,this paper defines the concept of medical documentary.The excellent medical documentaries at home and abroad are selected as research samples,such as Zhou Quan's "Ren Jian Shi",Chen Weijun's "This Is Life",Wang Wei's "The Story in ER",and " HOPKINS "," NY MED","BOSTON MED" broadcasted by American ABC,and other high-quality and rich content video works.Using the humanities philosophy,film and television arts and other related theories combined with literature analysis,comparative analysis,case analysis,practical research and other methods to analysis and unscramble the Humanistic Value and Artistic Expressive Techniques of Documentary Films with Category Subjects.By comparing Chinese and foreign documentaries and my own graduation works,we summarize and forecast thedevelopment of China's medical theme documentary from a macro perspective to find a suitable road for its development.This article consists an introduction and five chapters.The introduction part mainly introduces the research background of this topic,the research and development status at home and abroad,the feasibility and innovation of the research.The first chapter firstly defines the concept of medical documentary,then combs and summarizes the development process of such documentary.Taking theoretical concepts as the basis of research,this paper explores and excavates the main characteristics of medical documentaries.The second chapter combines the medical documentaries and news reports and many other related materials which display the care for patients that maintains the dignity of life,the understanding and trust of doctors that establishs the professional beliefs,the appeal and guidance to the public that condenses the social consensus.From these three levels to show the important role of human values in medical documentaries.The third chapter from the angle of humanistic value to study the artistic expressive techniques of medical documentary films.This chapter is based on the narratology and audio-visual language.It selects the narrative perspective,narrative structure and narrative techniques in the narrative characteristics,the visual language and auditory language in the audio-visual characteristics to explore and analyze the narrative techniques and image representation techniques of medical documentaries.The fourth chapter of the director's elaboration is a demonstration of the author's creative ideas and experiences.At the same time,it is also a summary reflection on the problems and shortcomings of the film.In this chapter,the author also puts forward certain requirements for her own professional ability in the future.The fifth chapter of thinking and outlook is a feasible solution to the problems and shortcomings of the current medical documentaries,and it is also a suggestion and expectation for finding a way with Chinese characteristics suitable for the development of such documentaries in the future.
