Mei Qing was one of the most representative and influential painters in the field of painting in the late Ming and early Qing dynasty, who broke the relatively conservative style of painting of the 'four kings' in the early Qing dynasty, emphasizing the nature of learning from others and the expression of individuality.Mei Qing climbed Mount Huang for two times, and created Mount Huang themed works represented by 'Nineteen Scenery of Mount Huang','Tiandu Peak of Mount Huang' and 'Tines Valley Maps of Mount Huang,,etc, which showed his novel and surprising layout and his straight and wonderful description ability,in the aspects of artistic conception and poetic expression,he also had his own sentiment and unique political appearance. He left precious spiritual wealth for the later generations, and ranked as 'Three Giants of Mount Huang' along with Shi Tao and Hong Ren.This paper takes Mei Qing's 'Nineteen Scenery of Mount Huang' as the research object, with the image analysis and contrast as the research method.First of all,the background Mei Qing lived in,the artistic characteristics of the late Ming dynasty and the life experience of Mei Qing are analyzed and understood.Secondly, from three aspects of Mei Qing's affection for Mount Huang, the characteristics of the painting and the features of the composition and the creation of artistic conception, the artistic characteristics of Mei Qing's 'Nineteen Scenery of Mount Huang' are analyzed. And through the comparison of the works,Mei Qing's series works of Mount Huang are distinguished from those of Shi Tao,Hong Ren and Dai Benxiao. In addition, this paper analyzes the poetic nature of'Nineteen Scenery of Mount Huang' through the 'pureness and wonder' of Si Kongtu's'Twenty-four Grades of Poems'.In the end, this paper discusses the influence of Mei Qing's works on later Chinese landscape painting and the inspiration on contemporary painting. The painting style of Mei Qing was sometime simple and graceful, sometimes massive and complex, his modelling conception was full of pureness, freshness and strangeness. At the same time, his landscape painting also attached importance to the interest of brush and ink and the creation of artistic expression, combining his feelings with the characteristics of Mount Huang.Mei Qing climbed Mount Huang for two times, and he had a unique feeling for it,regarding it as the manifestation of life, the aloof character of Mount Huang had a deep connection with Mei Qing. The exotic scenery of Mount Huang attracted Mei Qing deeply, which was also the source and momentum of his creation, making him break through himself and his works full of passion.'Nineteen Scenery of Mount Huang' is the representative works of Mei Qing's works of Mount Huang series, which is embellished in writing, fresh and gorgeous in color, natural and rich in ink,the modelling composition of each picture is novel, with intense power, precipitous strangeness and extraordinary imposing manner.Compared with other album pages, the author believes that 'Nineteen Scenery of Mount Huang' is more strange and precipitous, with clear vision and more subtle control of details, each painting is an independent entity, while these nineteen albums are coherent, unobstructed and natural, fully displaying MeiQing's personal characteristics. The author hopes that the discussion of this paper can give you a new recognition of Mei Qing, and at the same time give you a further understanding of his special feelings for Mount Huang.
