Mongolian vocabulary reflects the nomadic life of Mongolian people,involving political,economic,cultural and educational,scientific development and other aspects.At the same time,there are also loanwords of Mongolian people who have been contacting and communicating with other ethnic groups in Eurasia for centuries at all levels of society.Loanwords in Mongolian from many different languages are the result of extensive contacts between Mongolians and their neighbour nationalities and countries in terms of culture,religious beliefs,politics and economy in different social and historical periods.In Mongolian,besides loanwords from Russian,Chinese and Manchu,there are also borrowed words from Turkic,Tibetan,Arabic and Persian in different historical periods,as well as loanwords from English,German and French in modern times.The theme of this study is The Study Of Chinese Loanwords In Modern Mongolian.Most Chinese loanwords are borrowed directly into Mongolian through spoken and written forms.The Chinese loanwords in Mongolian mentioned in this paper refer only to the Chinese loanwords in Mongolian which is centered on the Kalkha dialect of Mongolia.From ancient times till now,the contact between the Mongolian and Han nationalities has never been interrupted.As one of the manifestations of this contact,most of the Chinese loanwords have been used in Mongolian until now.The whole paper consists of three chapters,which respectively discuss the methods of borrowing Chinese loanwords in Mongolian,the forms of development of Chinese loanwords in Mongolian,the influence of Chinese loanwords in modern Mongolian on Mongolian and Mongolian-Chinese cultural exchanges.Finally,the conclusion summarizes the research results of the whole paper.
