Research On The Relationship Between College Students' Craftsman Psychology, Social Support, Career Self-efficacy And Career Adaptability

In a career,when external conditions change,individuals will try to keep themselves in harmony with changes in their professional roles and environment.This ability to maintain harmony is called career adaptability.As the core of career success preparation,it is a multifaceted ability that can promote individuals to adapt to the workplace successfully.In today's society,college students need to adjust themselves to face more complex events in order to prepare for their future career,which is also a reflection of their ability.Therefore,when college students step out of campus and enter the society,whether they can adapt to their future career is closely related to their level of career adaptability.Craftsman's psychology refers to the individual's attitude towards his work and products,which is a stable and positive professional psychological quality.Previous studies have shown that psychological quality plays an important and far-reaching role in the formation of career adaptability.Therefore,this study will adopt the method of questionnaire survey to explore the impact of craftsman psychology as a kind of professional psychological quality on career adaptability.In addition,according to a large number of previous research results,social support as an exogenous factor and career self-efficacy as an endogenous factor play a positive role in career adaptability.Therefore,this study uses two statistical software,SPSS24.0 and Mplus7.4,to study and analyze the survey data of 904 college students randomly selected in Jiangsu Province,which objectively reflects the current college students' craftsman's psychology and career adaptability.Two independent variables,social support and career self-efficacy,were also introduced for analysis.The relationships among four variables,namely,college students' career adaptability,craftsman psychology,career self-efficacy and social support,are further analyzed.The results show that:(1)The overall level of College Students' career adaptability is above the medium level.In demographic variables,gender and grade,there is no significant difference in the level of adaptability;in social practice,there is no significant difference in whether to participate in the social practice of the profession;in the level of whether to participate in social practice actively,there are five dimensions of career adaptability showing significant differences,while in the other dimension,there is no significant difference in career control;in terms of parental education level there are two significant differences,namely,career curiosity and career concern.There is no significant difference between other dimensions and total score of career adaptability.In terms of mother's education level,there is no significant difference between other dimensions and the total score of career adaptability except career curiosity.(2)The craftsmen psychology level of college students is on the upper middle level.On the gender level,there are significant differences in the four dimensions of craftsmen's psychology and the total score of craftsmen s psychology except for craftsmen s responsibility;in the degree of father's education,there are significant differences in the other dimensions and the total score of craftsmen's psychology;in the degree of mother's education,there are significant differences in craftsmen's skills and craftsmen's innovation,while there is no significant difference between the other dimensions and total score.There are significant differences in whether to take part in social practice actively.There are significant differences in craftsmen' skills,craftsmen'immersion and craftsmen' psychological total scores,while there are no significant differences in other dimensions.There is no significant difference in all dimensions and total scores in grade and whether to take part in social practice of this major.(3)In addition to career control,there is a significant correlation between craftsmen'psychology and various dimensions of career adaptability.Career control has no significant correlation with craftsmen' skills,craftsmen' innovation and craftsmen' immersion.Among the four variables,there is a positive correlation between the total score of craftsmen's psychology,social support and the total score of career self-efficacy,and the three dimensions.There are also two positive correlations between career adaptability and social support,career self-efficacy.(4)By constructing the structural equation model,we can find that the three variables of craftsmen psychology,social support and career self-efficacy can positively predict career adaptability.At the same time,social support and career self-efficacy have a significant mediating effect between craftsmen psychology and career adaptability,and both of them play a chain mediating role.
