Contour Structure

The dots form a line,and the lines form a surface.As a bridge from point to point,the line has an important connection meaning in geometry.As an independent element,the line also has important significance and role in the art field.The line is an indispensable element in the art of plastics.From traditional Chinese plastic art to Chinese modern and contempo-rary art,from Western art to oriental art,from contour to structure,from form to space,it displays its charm all the time,using its tension to exude unique inner vitality.In the art of sculpture,the line is not only an element in the shape,but also a language.The rich emotions expressed by the line are irreplaceable by points and faces.Sculpture is the art of the combination of form and space.The line may not be the most conspicuous existence in sculpture art,but it is very important existence.Through the dis-cussion of the constituent factors and classification of the sculpture space,this paper extracts the "line" from various factors that constitute the sculpture space,and expounds the concept and emotional expression of the line from the perspective of geometry and psychology,start-ing from the plane line.The characteristics and aesthetic significance of the analysis line extend into the space,and the classification and function of the analysis line in the sculpture reveals the linear relationship that is implicit in the sculpture space that is perceptible but invisible.The understanding and application of the relationship between the mid-line of the sculpture space can not only make the sculptor better express the thought in the process of creation,but also enable the viewer to understand the space of the sculpture more deeply and feel the richer space and aesthetic experience.
