With the rapid development of science and technology and the continuous deepening of education reform,the difficulty of teaching is increasing and the presentation of information is more diversified.That requires teachers to keep pace with the times,change traditional teaching concepts,and find a diversified and efficient teaching mode.At this time,a variety of mobile phone apps for learning vocabulary came into being.Compared to the traditional way of learning English words with books,mobile vocabulary memory software not only brings together learning contents such as pronunciation,spelling,meaning and usage,but also cooperatively uses multiple modes such as images and sounds to greatly improve students' interest and efficiency in learning words.The methods of teaching English vocabulary are no longer subject to books and classrooms.Based on the multimodality theory and the mobile learning theory,this paper takes the mobile phone app “100 words” with the largest number of users as an example to explore the impact of mobile app on English vocabulary learning of high school students by means of technical support and multimedia presentation.The author selects two classes on the same level in the 10 th grade of Qufu No.1 Middle School as the research objects.Before the experiment,the two classes are pretested and questionnaire surveyed,and the coach fills out the pre-experimental observation record and records the above data.The experiment lasts for one semester.The author regularly teaches vocabulary to two classes,but stipulates the way students remember words after class.The control class adopts the regular way to memorize the words with books,and the experimental class uses the mobile phone app to memory vocabulary.At the end of the semester,a comprehensive vocabulary test and a questionnaire interview were conducted in the two classes,and the data was recorded.Finally,the data is summarized,and the results of the two tests and questionnaires are analyzed and concluded.Experiments show that students using mobile phone app to learn English vocabulary can improve English vocabulary scores compared with regular books;Using the mobile phone app to learn English vocabulary has improved the vocabulary scores of the students at the upper,middle and lower levels of learning,but it has a more significant effect on the vocabulary scores of the students at the middle and lower levels;Boys and girls have improved their vocabulary scores after learning English vocabulary using the mobile phone app,but the effect on boys' vocabulary scores is more significant than that of girls.Therefore,the author combines theory to analyze that vocabulary learning using mobile phone app is more suitable for high school students' vocabulary learning than the traditional way withbooks.In the experiment,developing strengths and avoiding weaknesses to achieve an efficient combination of mobile phone app and English vocabulary teaching not only expands the students' vocabulary learning style,but also provides a good reference for teachers in vocabulary teaching methods;it not only enriches the vocabulary teaching resources of schools,but also enhance students' application consciousness of vocabulary strategy,providing useful reference for the reform and practice of high school English vocabulary teaching in the current era,and providing theoretical basis and new enlightenment for future vocabulary teaching.
