Since the 1980s,the adaptation of the film and television of literature has obviously been influenced by the trend of post modernism.This influence is manifested that in the fifth generation of directors and the sixth generation of directors in the film creation,compared to the previous generation of director's work,there is a clear steering.This turn regards the characteristics of post-modern trend of thought as its axis.In form,the image is fragmented,the lens language is symbolic,and the production is standardized;In content manifested as flattery to the masses?Subjection to Consumer Society and the global consciousness.Through the study of the fifth and sixth generation of film directors,this article is on the one hand intended to "adapt" as the medium to build a bridge between the film and the text.At the same time,the characteristics of the present text in the process of image transformation are investigated.On the other hand,the "film and television" is used as the gateway to examine the post-modern features of the present society,look forward to the future development of film and television adaptation,and propose ways of thinking to create a "new classic".This paper is divided into five parts.The introduction is a general study on the movie adaptation of text and post-modern steering.In the introduction part,the paper will summarize the research achievements of the academic circle before and make a general introduction to the generation and development of postmodern theory,especially postmodern culture theory.To make a necessary comment on postmodern related nouns and to explore the boundary of literary works adaptation.The first chapter is the study of overall adaptation of literary works since the 1980s.The purpose is from a macro point of view to describe the difference between the literature adaptation of film and television works at the present stage and before.This part mainly involves the study of four dimensions of text,audience,narrative and background.The paper proposes in terms of text,change from "faithful original" to "innovation";In terms of audience,change from the elite to the masses;In terms of narrative,change from grand narrative to trivial narrative and in terms of background,change from real to untrue.From three different perspectives,chapters two to four analyze the new features of literary adaptation under the specific postmodern landscape.Chapter two examines the characteristics of film adaptation from the point of view of consumer society.The article first defined the basic concept of "consumer society" and described the overall characteristics of the consumer society.Then the article discusses the ways of making the public to consume in the society of consumption.Chapter three examines the characteristics of film adaptation from the angle of mass culture.The article first introduces the theoretical background of mass culture,and analyzes the process of changing of the attitude of mass culture.Secondly,from two aspects:pleasing female audience and satisfying audience's prying habits,discusses the adaptation process of film and television works to the public literature.Chapter four examines the characteristics of film adaptation from the perspective of globalization.The article first gives a general overview of globalization and puts forward the cultural logic of globalization.Starting from the theory of globalization,the article studies the"new folk movies" developed by the fifth generation of directors in order to cater to the tastes of western audiences,and also illustrates with examples the adaptation of Western themes and scripts by the Chinese in the current film adaptationThe fifth chapter is the prospect chapter of the full text.In this chapter,the article promises the adaptation and calls for literary creation to learn from image creation.
