Semantic And Pragmatic Study Of "Zao" Subjunctive Sentences

Based on the theories of cognitive linguistics,construction and pragmatics,this paper makes a comprehensive and systematic study of the grammatical structure,semantic features and pragmatic functions of "Zao" subjunctive sentences on the basis of corpus analysis.The main points are as follows:The subjunctive sentence of "Zao" type refers to the subjunctive sentence marked by the time word "Zao".It has the semantic characteristics of[+counterfactual][+hypothesis][+virtual],in which[+counterfactual]semantics is the core semantics of a sentence.The main factors that trigger the counterfactual semantics of the "Zao"subjunctive sentences are counterfactual thinking and socio-cultural factors,the feature of "Zao" time-lapse and the stress psychology of anticipated events.The subjunctive sentences of "Zao" type are mainly divided into two categories:single-repetition sentence relational hypothesis sentences and multiple-repetition sentence relational sentences.The relational hypothesis sentence of single repetition sentence is a typical form of "Zao" subjunctive sentence,which can be further divided into two categories:general hypothetical complex sentence and contractive hypothetical complex sentence.The relational sentence of multiple repetition sentence mainly includes causal complex sentence,purpose complex sentence and multiple hypothetical complex sentence.Compact hypothetical complex sentences,causal complex sentences,objective complex sentences and multiple hypothetical complex sentences can be formed by reducing,adding structural elements and changing the position of components in general hypothetical complex sentences.The specific forms used in a text mainly depend on the amount of information about counterfactual events,the speed of' the speaker's speech,the degree of attention to information and the differences in emotional attitudes.Subjunctive sentences of "early" type are characterized by strong subjectivity,converse information dissemination and interactivity of context.The sentence pattern has a strong tendency of emotional catharsis,mainly expressing regret,regret and anger.
