Research On The Corruption Of Components In "Libian"

The Li Bian is a work on the study of inscriptions in the Eastern Han Dynasty,records a large number of representative erroneous transformations of Li-characters in inscriptions.This paper takes Li Bian as the research material and Li-characters in inscriptions of the Eastern Han Dynasty as the object of study.Then disassemble all the Li-characters in Li Bian into parts,take the method of combining statistics and analysis to explore the overall characteristics,tendency and reasons of character distortion at the level of stroke and component.So that having a more intuitive and systematic understanding of Li-character in the Eastern Han Dynasty is available.The paper eventually analyses the erroneous transformations in Li Bian from three aspects:the factors of users,the utter environment factors and the characters' internal factors.The factors of users can be divided into five parts: first,the pursuit of simple writing;second,to distinguish or decorate or balance the glyph;third,educational level of users;forth,psychology tending of common characters;fifth,the users' personal writing habits.The utter environment factors can be divided into three parts: first,the special times of Li-character evolution;second,the effect of various chirography,third,the reform of writing methods.The characters' internal factors can be divided into three parts: first,the effect of characters' internal environment;second,the effect of inter-character environment;third,the effect of characters with similar form and homographs.And the appendix Graph of Erroneous Transformations of Components in ‘Li Bian' is formed additionally.
