Massive Open Online Courses(MOOCs),or MOOCs for short,have emerged since 2012.Since then,there have been three major platforms:Edx,Coursera and Udecity.In addition,plarform for MOOCs such as XueTang Online and MOOCs of Chinese universities have emerged in China.In terms of the teaching of Chinese as a foreign language,since 2013,some universities,such as Peking University and Tsinghua University,have invested in research and develop MOOCs.After more than six years of development,they have shown many characteristics,such as a large number of specialized types and an increasing number of research and development schools.Therefore,it is particularly necessary to investigate the current representative MOOCs,summarize their characteristics,try to find out the advantages and limitations of MOOCs in Chinese teaching,and put forward suggestions on the development and use of MOOCs.This article selects "Intermediate Chinese Grammar","Chinese for Beginners"and"Tsinghua Chinese:Start Talking To 1.3 Billion People”three MOOCs for teaching Chinese as a foreign language,mainly adopts literature research,content analysis and contrast analysis,from the interface of teaching,teaching content,teaching process,teaching method,interactive way,the teaching language lesson six aspects inspects each MOOCs' characteristic and defects.By comparing“Tsinghua Chinese:Start Talking To 1.3 Billion People" with"Intermediate Chinese grammar" and "Chinese For Beginners",the basic situation and main characteristics of MOOCs are summarized.Then,the common ground of the three MOOCs is used to compare the ordinary classroom teaching,and the advantages and disadvantages of MOOCs teaching are obtained.Finally,the author tries to put forward some thoughts on the development direction of Chinese MOOCs based on the investigation results.This paper is divided into five parts.The first part is the introduction,including the research reason and significance,and literature review.In literature review section,the author collected about MOOCs' study,foreign language MOOCs for research and teaching Chlinese as a foreign language MOOCs to the three aspects of literature,it is concluded that the current situation of the research for teaching Chinese as a foreign language MOOCs,researches about characteristics of the MOOCs,the influence and enlightenment og MOOCs and the plan for MOOCs' development are abuntant.But researches in MOOCs for quality evaluation,case study,"San Jiao" problem are limited.The author hopes that the literature review part can draw effective conclusions based on the results of the later investigation.The chapter two is the investigation and research on the mooc of"Intermediate Chinese Grammar".According to the six investigation dimensions established,the investigation results are obtained.The characteristics of the mooc are obtained through in-depth analysis of the investigation results.The chapter three is the "Chinese For Beginners" mooc study,as the early design of the primary Chinese integrated curriculum,the author uses the same research method as the previous mooc,summed up its characteristics and shortcomings;The chapter four is the investigation and analysis of "Tsinghua Chinese:Start Talking to 1.3 Billion People".As a popular mooc in recent years,the author found its unique design and made clear the development direction of mooc for Chinese as a foreign language in recent years.The fifth chapter:is the conclusion.The author summarizes the basic situation and main characteristics of MOOCs for Chinese as a foreign language by comparing MOOCs with ordinary classroom teaching process,emerging MOOCs and early MOOCs.Combined with the results of previous chapters and literature research,this paper puts forward the advantages and disadvantages of MOOCs at present,and finally tries to put forward some suggestions on the construction of MOOCs.
