Research On The Design Of Chinese Characters In The Poster Art Of Modern And Contemporary Japan (1945-2015)

After the end of World War ?,Japan s graphic design has been recognized by the world's graphic design community after half a century's development,providing experiences for other countries and regions in Asia The paper starts from the Chinese character design elements in Japanese posters,exploring the mysteries of Japanese graphic design by studying the development of Japanese poster design after World War ?(1945-2015).Around the 4th century,Chinese characters were introduced into Japan from the mainland of China,where they evolved and developed into the present Japanese language.China and Japan belong to the Chinese-character culture circle and have similar national culture and written foundations.Until today,Chinese characters still affect Japanese,Japanese culture and the lives of Japanese people.Japan is also constantly improving Chinese characters and creating new words which has a strong influence in the Chinese-character culture circle.In poster art,characters are important design elements.The paper reviews and sorts out a large amount of materials and designers' works,and concludes the development of Chinese character design in Japanese modern and contemporary poster art.From the pioneering designers,they have a preliminary understanding of Japanese Chinese character design and consciously use Chinese characters to create a decorative and hand-painted character design,and finally form a firm personality and nationalized poster design style,designers are more flexible and open to the application of Chinese characters,and they are good at recreating traditional themes which makes it successful.In the seventy years of graphic design development,Japanese characters have been evolved from single to diverse forms.In the generations of designers,many outstanding character designers and scholars were born in Japan,which has become one of the most influential countries in Chinese character design.This paper studies the origin of its distinctive national design style,finds out the special parts of Japanese aesthetic consciousness and national culture which provides a reference for Chinese character design.
