In linguistics,the structures "? NP+V" and "V+? NP" have always been a peek of interest in research.Foreign students often make errors in these two structures.The property and function of the structures"? NP+V" and "V+? NP" are different,but their forms are very similar,therefore,foreign students often confuse the two.Thus,this paper discusses and analyzes the acquisition of the two structures with comparative analysis and error analysis.This paper compares the linguistic characteristics of preposition"?",noun component "NP" and verb "V" in "? NP+V" and "V+? NP" based on previous research results,and sums up the similarities and differences in semantics,grammar and pragmatics between the two structures,which provides a theoretical basis for the error analysis of the two structures.After having analyzed the two structures in HSK dynamic composition corpus,the author counted four errors that foreign students tend to make when they apply the two structures.These four errors include:"omission","misalignment","substitution"and "addition".Among them,"omission" and "misalignment" account for the largest proportion of errors in the two structures.Among the five sources of errors,interlingual transfer,intralingual generalization and learning strategies have the deepest impact on the errors of the two structures.In an attempt to improve foreign students' understanding of these two structures,this paper combines the characteristics of the errors and compares the arrangement of the structures"? NP+V”and "V+? NP”in textbooks.After collating and comparing seven different Chinese textbooks,it was observed that there is a lack of attention regarding the structure "V+? NP" in textbooks.Furthermore,"? NP+V" is only focused on introducing”? NP" as an adverbial of location.Finally,referring to the content of the syllabus,the author puts forward six suggestions for textbook writing,which may help students improve their ability to utilize and apply the two structures.
