Harmony Study Of Dvorak's "B Minor Cello Concerto"

Antonin Dvorak(1842-1904),a composer of the Romantic period in the 19 th century,one of the representatives of the Czechoslovakian national music school,were also called "Czech Three" together with Smetana and Janacek.Dvorak's life-long music creation has been involved in a wide range of fields,with a wide range of achievements,including symphony,chamber music,vocal music and many other genres.Among his many works,he played the cello song "B minor cello concerto" during his later years in the United States,occupying a very important position.This work is one of the few cello concertos that are widely loved by the world.It is also one of the greatest works of the composer in the late period.Therefore,this song is more skilled in composition,with more symphonic and performance force.This thesis takes this song as the research object,and uses the literature collection method,the literature research method and the music analysis method to analyze the harmony technique of this work and explore the composer's creative techniques.This thesis is divided into three parts:The first chapter firstly summarizes the composer's biography,creation stage,main achievements,as well as the creative background of this song,in order to generally grasp the creative features of the composer.The second chapter discusses the chords of this song from the perspective of chord structure,and analyzes the chord structure of the song from four aspects: high stack chord,variable chord,third chord,triple chord.The third chapter discusses from the aspect of harmony,Dvorak's transformation from traditional and vocabulary,continuous sound and sound,change,parallel,accidental,and traditional functional harmony,in orderto make the music show more different harmony colors.The purpose of this thesis is to provide a general understanding of the late harmonies of Dvorak by analyzing the harmony techniques of this work,as well as providing a template for our future performances,analysis and appreciation of works by composers.And I hope to provide some valuable references for future players and people who study the song.
